I've just bought two of these to try. Sick of air beds going down!

I have tried all manner of folding / collapsible camp beds, airbeds ( Li-lo ) inflatable mattresses etc, but by far and away the best is the self-inflating sleeping mat.
Even the Aldi AdventureRidge version for only £12.99 is brilliant. It's only about 50mm thick when inflated but I find that in conjunction with my sleeping bag, blanket and a comfy pillow, it works for me. I sleep like log! And it rolls up into a compact size as well.

I've got a single Mountain Equipment self-inflating roll mat which is great for backpack camping.
Just taken delivery of one of these for car camping for me and my wife, not yet used in anger in the field but it was bloody comfy in the living room last night!

Bit of a PITA rolling it back up again but I'm sure we'll get used to it.
