Dream (Camping) Garage
Discussion
Just to get things rolling (and because I need new gear - £20 tent from Tesco, a road atlas some beans and beer and a car poinitng north doesn't, apparently, count as a viable family holiday) I thought I'd start a 'what gear would you get' thread.
Money not much of an object, I'd get a 4motion California

and tow a FifthWheel Inos beind it - it has slide-out sides!

Ideal set up - you could leave the Inos at your main base and go off for short adventures in the California, or just use it for a cup of tea and a sit down![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I'm old, aren't I?

Enlighten me with the motor home thing. I would just find it a tremendous PITA to get somewhere beautiful (say, Northern Scotland) park up, have my meal and then fancy a bit of an explore and have to put everything away, disconnect the hook up and then drive a behemoth like that down narrow roads.
I'd be not much more impressed with the idea of scooting about in a Lupo or something that I'd towed up on a dolly.
I think a little camper and a big caravan is the way to go
