Bit of a thread derail here, but...
Ive read and enjoyed a fair few of the Reacher books, The Visitor and Tripwire prob best for me.
Can anyone recommend a sci-fi book or two that are a bit Lee Child sort of level? i.e. easy reading yarns?

Thanks

Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series.

These were recommended to me on here some while ago - personally I didn't like them as I prefer more realism. But give one a go, it might be what you're looking for.

Yes, good call. I've already found these though, read about 6 so far. Any others authors I wonder.

Currently on a very good trilogy series called 'Pendulum' by Adam Handy - Pendulum, Freefall and Aftershock.

Well worth a go.

I enjoyed Demille's 'John Corey' books, although as with most authors. they lose the direction a bit with the latest releases. I particularly enjoyed 'Plum Island' and 'Wildfire'
He also branched off into other novels. 'The Charm School' is excellent.

Better fit, but looks too young there.

Agree too young, but better size, Reacher must have been around 40 when he left the forces

New book out soon, co written with his brother before he takes over

He's 37 apparently. Just picked a scruffy pic.

Might work for the inevitable flashbacks to his Army days smile

I've just started the latest one, The Sentinal.

Looking forward to this to see if it's any better than his last, which I thought was utter pants, so this is make or break for Jack and I. biggrin

A few chapters in now and it's certainly started very, very, Jack Reacher.

I finally found a once read hardback copy of Blue Moon in a charity shop for a £1. I would have felt robbed if I had paid anymore for it.

Hopefully The Sentinel will be a lot better when I track one down for a £1 after the lockdown.

Better than Blue Moon but Blue Moon was bloody awful so that's not saying much.
