Dead Lions - Mick Herron. About half way through, enjoying it like "Horses"
Finished a couple of days ago.I like the descriptive way Herron writes and the conversations and way of speaking seem to tie in with the person speaking but this book has chapters where every page or so it jumps to a different scenario/character. Makes it easy to put down mid chapter if your short of time/tired/dogs need out etc but putting down too regularly and you lose track of the story a little.
Plot a little bizarre.
Just finished Thrill Switch by TM Hawken and i had high hopes for this one, it even started out pretty well.
Interesting idea, good plot, then all of a sudden it jumped from point A to point W with not much in the way of explanation or at least it seemed that way to me.
I enjoyed it don't get me wrong but it seemed to be a book of two halves if that makes sense, one a race against time to find a killer, then all of a sudden found the killer and the plot developed into what seemed like a completely different story.
Anyway, after seeing glowing comments on here, going to try Dogs of War next.

Just bought and listened to Chris Harris' book "Variable Valve Timings" and it's pretty good. Very interesting and funny in places, sad in others. I think I'm an even bigger fan now!
It’s a good read although I felt it sped through his time and Top Gear and Collecting Cars got only the briefest of mentions. Guess he has to hold some stuff back for vol 2. Gassing Station | Books and Literature | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
