I once bought a crossbow because I was bored - Seriously!

I had more money than sense at the time! The only thing I ever used it for was to shoot at annoying magpies and crows out the office window when they were making a racket when I have been trying to work

If this was at North harbour the reason its so funny is that its situated in the middle of a nature reserve!

Plus I seem to remember this once

Well done Mr Fish - although here's hoping for your sake that Mrs Fish doesn't need a new kitchen too!

Let's hear the prospective spec then, does it include a trip to Germany for a supercharger?

Everytime i walk into Jessops or any other camera shop, i leave with bags of kit - ive spent about £400 so far, in about 4 trips! The thing is, their used kit keeps breaking, which means when i take it back, i walk out with the replacement, plus another full bag of stuff! Doh!

I used to be the same in Halfords, but theyve gone a bit OTT on the max muppet stuff, so im safe now

So anyone here bought anything on a whim, and a) either never worn or used since or b) regretted it when the credit card bill arrives on the doormat.

b) my house - not credit card bill but bank balance....

After spending 3 years of working on it and investing an obscene amount of money which would see me quite easily into one of Maranello's finest the fecker is still now where near finished.

Can anyone lend me a stick of dynamite?

(goes off to check building insurance)

I had my new kitchen earlier this year, so thats not a problem.

Not sure of prospective spec, other than it being black with anthracite wheels and tinted windows.

Its also a long term thing, I shouldn't think we will see it for another 2 years.

Shoes...shoes...shoes...no need is required. In fact the only need required is that we are driving past a shop that sells them so I can shout "Stop...Shoes"

Sounds like he's got a career change in mind for you, Mrs Fish .
german newspaper said:
German scientists say a woman's rational thought disappears when she goes shopping.

The scientists also found men experience a similar loss of control when offered the chance to buy electrical gadgets, fast cars and computer games.

Their next ground-breaking area for research is to focus on the pope and bears.

The Chim was a bit of an impulse buy for me too .

A crash damaged Cerbera

I couldn't really bring myself to invest all my savings, some inheritance and a student load in it.

All it took was one call to BadApple and some of his patented winding-up and next thing I know my whim-purchase turned into a £10K loss.

Fcuking good fun though

After my first long term relationship broke up I went straight out and bought a TR6 - my ex even loaned me some of the money . When I bought the Griff it was only weeks after my last (6 year) relationship hit the wall...

I'm starting to see the pattern - I guess that's why it's called retail therapy.

I buy everything on a whim - it's terrifying. Latest impulse acquisition is a Mk1 E-Type 3.8 roadster. I saw it for sale last week and decided that it would be fun.

It is.

Recently I set off to the shops looking for coffee table.

I returned home with a full set of new living room furniture. (3 Sofas, Cushions curtains lamps 4 picture frames a set of ashtrays some expresso cups 2 large rugs and bedside cabinet) Oh well guess I just get carried away sometimes!

I didn't buy a coffe table though. Couldn't find one I liked....

The Tuscan, the RX-8, my home cinema projector, .... they're the few recent big ones that spring to mind as quick, impulse-like purchases!
