Mr Pavey says the public has been very supportive, bringing him cups of tea and cake, with passing motorists frequently tooting their horns.
Anyone local fancy taking him some laxative cake? Let's see how he gots on when he asks the Merc dealer if he can use their toilet.

I can't imagine him still doing this when the weather turns cold. Or maybe he will be there in a Santa Suit, giving toys and marketing advice to children to top up his earnings.

A spokeswoman said: “We feel offering to pay 100 per cent of the cost of repair for an privately-bought unknown car that’s not had a service history with us for six years was reasonable.”

Thats more than reasonable.

What a nob-end.

That's more than a garage in the same town selling the same marque of cars offered after bodging my roof!

They denied wrong doing, despite another franchise dealer's opinion. In the end DCUK Milton Keynes got an independent opinion which proved their error, and 8 months later I got a cheque for the cost of repair...

Does anyone know if this plonker is still there? Might be in the Dartford area tomorrow, might pay him a visit.

I would do what he's doing though!!

I can see where he's coming from you buy a nice car and then they don't want to know when it isn't as you expect?

Errrr....... did you actually read the article?

1.) The bloke didn't buy the car from the dealer who he is victimising.
2.) The vehicle is out of warrenty and hasn't been serviced correctly.
3.) The dealership who is victimising & the company they represent have made a very fair offer to him considering its not legally their problem.
4.) If he's earning the sort of money per week that he claims, why hasn't he bought a new car or a used vehicle from a main dealer?
5.) If he is earning that sort of money per week I'll eat his E-Class.
6.) He's an egotistical bellend.
7.) Errrrrr...... that's it.

The customer is not always right. And he most certainly isn't.

1.) The bloke didn't buy the car from the dealer who he is victimising.

- It's his local garage why would he want to travel miles to further inconvenience himself? They represent Mercedes Benz

2.) The vehicle is out of warrenty and hasn't been serviced correctly.

- So servicing would stop rust from forming? How does that work

3.) The dealership who is victimising & the company they represent have made a very fair offer to him considering its not legally their problem.

- Agreed

4.) If he's earning the sort of money per week that he claims, why hasn't he bought a new car or a used vehicle from a main dealer?

- Why should he have to when his original car should be repaired?

5.) If he is earning that sort of money per week I'll eat his E-Class.
6.) He's an egotistical bellend.
7.) Errrrrr...... that's it.

So that if there is a problem he wouldnt have to do this - the tit.

2.) The vehicle is out of warrenty and hasn't been serviced correctly.

can you prove it WOULDNT stop rusting.. ?

3.) The dealership who is victimising & the company they represent have made a very fair offer to him considering its not legally their problem.

- Agreed

4.) If he's earning the sort of money per week that he claims, why hasn't he bought a new car or a used vehicle from a main dealer?

- Why should he have to when his original car should be repaired?

because then he wouldnt have these sorts of problems

5.) If he is earning that sort of money per week I'll eat his E-Class.

ill join you with that

6.) He's an egotistical bellend.
7.) Errrrrr...... that's it.

Thats my contribution for today.
And howcanshe? When I worked in the trade (uptil 2 years ago.) every brand that I worked for (five including Mercedes) would need to see proof that any repair had been carried out at an authorised bodyshop or the rust warrenty claim would be rejected. Again with most brands unless you have a yearly anti rust inspection any claim would be rejected.
I'm guessing and as you rightly pointed out, this is only my opinion, that this vehicle is such a lemon that the chances are its never seen an form of inspection.

Here's how it works. He bought an expensive car from a non franchise dealer thinking he got a great deal which he no doubt bragged about to all and sundry. He then found out it was a lemon. Because his ego can't cope with this (as someone on those comments with the article mentioned) he now wants to blame anyone except himself for his mistake because no doubt all and sundry are now laughing at him. However because he has painted this ridiculous picture of himself as some sort of super businessman he has now made himself look even more dumb. If he had a reasonable case, he would be in court by now and Mercedes would be begging for mercy. He isn't & they're not because he hasn't got a leg to stand on.

Look at the sign, for Christs sake. And he thinks he's some sort of marketing guru.rolleyes

Sums the guy up totally. Bellend.
