For some thought provoking non-fiction (excellent docu on 2 about same person last night):
Gitta Sereny; Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth
About Hitler's architect, who designed the plans for the new Berlin -'Germania'- and, despite being at the heart of the regime, denied involvement in the Final Solution throughout his life (hence battle with truth)
Very good so far, I'm about 30% through it. I've read Inside the Third Reich too.Gitta Sereny; Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth

Speer fascinates me, how the hell he got away with being hung astonishes me.
Another book I'm reading at the moment is "I shall bear witness" by Victor Klemperer, a Jewish professor from Dresden, describing he privations under Nazi law. I've actually stopped about halfway through as I am actually finding it too upsetting. I might carry on at some future point.
