I brush my teeth with my right hand.

I think you all should buy Tiff Needell's "Burning rubber" only £4.49 off play.com and teaches you everything you need to know about everything!

A bit like bottom wiping..I use a brush and paper respectively but everyone to their own.

While we're at it, what about unwinding opposite lock? Apparently a no-no to let the wheel feed back to centre of its own accord.

Depends on the geo settings as to how aggressively your steering self centres. Anyway, you are no longer in control if you aren't holding the wheel. The only time I think its sensible to let go is when you've completely lost it then at least you spin in a straight line rather than fishtailing/tankslapping (in the car sense, not the true bike sense) down the road careering all over the shop.

Anyway book yourself on an airfield driver training day and have a play. Catching the skid isn't too hard, its realising when its time to unwind (change in steering weight+feel) and doing it quickly+smoothly enough. Otherwise you get the tank slap effect as I discovered over frequent repetitions Small skids are actually fairly easy, its when you provoke it, have to put full opposite lock on (1.5 turns in my car) and then unwind correctly.
