Proper LSD?

No, not that type before people ask.

Alas, the time is coming when I need to say goodbye to a trusty friend - My IS300. Now some may mock, and no problem, but its seen my through many completely trouble free miles in absolute comfort and it has been reasonably quick to boot. Blats across France at 1.3+ Leptons being easy.

One of the things I love is that it has a proper LSD. Which means that, unless you are being a complete tool, you don't lean on the traction control when pulling away as it puts the power across both wheels....often with a little wiggle before the TC comes barging in (which is good but takes some of the fun away).

So, are there any cars out there that are every day RWD with proper LSD as standard (or as an option) or have we all given up to the electronic way of things?

Don't some early 325's, and all 325/328iS have LSD's too? I believe they were options on a nubmer of E30 and E36 3-series.

I think they changed it for the 2010 model year and fitted a proper lsd. Read the review in evo i think....

Mine too! Pretty rare on e36 328 sports but e30 325 sport have them standard.

Was interested to read in the Boss 302 article/thread that a choice of a conventional LSD is offered as well as a Torsen option

What sort of price and what sort of car?

BMW are the obvious big brand, but the V8 MG ZT has one as do almost all Yank RWD cars, Mustangs, Camaro's, Challengers, Chargers and the older stuff.

TVR's do and some Jap stuff like a 200SX, Supra, 300ZX (I think), 350z and I think an RX-8 does too.

In the original post the OP asked for cars with a LSD as standard or as an option?
That is why I included the C63 AMG
