Here goes. Just the one session for them to get up to speed before qualifying.

I wonder which one of the drivers who said in their interviews that they love circuits with gravel traps, will be eating their words in a few minutes’ time?

Because it is about a 1500 mile distance between the last circuit and this one and the trucks could only just make it (is the reason/excuse given that I read)...

Loving that they're going to have to get pretty much straight to quali sim laps on an unknown and green circuit - should be fun.. smile

Have they got a smaller allocation of tyres?

Also because Liberty might quite like to know if it can save money and perhaps also bring a better spectacle yes

Yup, 1500 miles. I don't think there is a real logistical reason, though given their have teh motorhomes back in use I guess there is some more strip down time.

I think it is more about using this years exceptional season to test a 2 day weekend ahead of a growing race calendar of up to 25 races. They can increase the "variables" for a race (and therefore the "show") while negating team complaints that there is too much travel (by notionally cutting it to 25x2=50 days vs 20*3=60days)

I’m surprised Martin Brundle is allowed to stand inside the barriers.

That’s a trick of the camera angle. He’s actually standing well behind a barrier to the right of the picture, in the emergency vehicle exit onto the track. He’s perfectly safe there.
