I wonder if anyone has run next years floor (taking downforce away), Merc are not even pushing and are a Second clear.. Red Bull way back..
Now they've wrapped up both championships, it must be tempting for Mercedes to run 2021 spec aero in the remaining races, let alone the practice sessions. smile

I reckon they might have a prototype 2021 floor ready to go in P2, when they have to use the new prototype tyre for six laps.

Will they want to show the other teams their 2021 floor solution? It would have to be run in combination with a number of over 2021 parts to work and will offer significant clues to the direction of their aero development to keen eyes.

Are they running the protos in FP2 as well (C3 so medium this week).

They’ve already done fastest lap and are a second quicker than the rest of the field on the softs...

Yes, they’re all running a six-lap stint on the P tyres in P2. Assuming isn’t not wet.

Save the new aero developments for the first test session of 2021. It will be a few seconds off the pace. Then at the final test session it will turn out to be 1.5 seconds quicker than anyone else.

Not gonna happen, as much as we’d love it to. The simulators are now too good.

They’ll be able to learn everything they need to learn, while running at 98%.

The worry for all the other teams, is that Mercedes were running at 98% in P1.

Hamilton is running 25kph down on the sector traps from last year, CLC for comparison is 10/12kph down...

McLaren were doing it in Spa, so I would be surprised if others have not also done it already.

Albon red flags it - definitely see Perez running down the pitlane, contract in hand!

I'd love to see PER in a seat next year for whoever but it's not done until it's signed

I like Albon, but that doesn't sound good for him.

Smashed three of the four corners of the car, front and back and surely ruined the box too (rears still rotating when they hit the barrier).

Glad he's OK, but his F1 career really isn't.
