Just imagine if they sold up to Andretti..... that really would be the ultimate FU from Andretti to FOM/Liberty hehe
It would! But it's also what FOM/Liberty wanted Andretti to do scratchchin

It seems to be a lot of fuss over nothing. One senior guy with no prior F1 links has left, so what?
Well the CEO and CDO would normally be pretty influential to the board in terms of strategy. Arguably the 2 key roles.

This may not age well, but here's my predictions for the 2025 line up:
Red Bull: Verstappen & Riccardo
Ferrari: Hamilton & Leclerc
Mercedes: Alonso & Russell
McLaren: Norris & Piastri
Aston Martin: Stroll & Sainz
VCARB: Tsunoda & Lawson
Alpine: Ocon & Gasly
Kick Sauber: Perez & Pourchaire
Williams: Albon & Antonelli
Haas: Hulkenberg & Bearman.

Rookies: Lawson, Pourchaire, Antonelli, Bearman.
Out: Bottas, Zhou, Magnussen, Sergeant.

I know it's a common prediction to say that Sainz is going to Audi but there are some worrying noises coming from Audi HQ and I wouldn't be surprised if they bail (possibly selling to Andretti? Aston seemed the best fit for him otherwise, it's a fast, upcoming team and he brings excellent racecraft and race-winning experience.
What you y'all think?

I still think there's an outside chance of Vettel being in the Merc in 2025.

Agree, he's making racy noises again but it's slim imo.

Mercedes: Alonso as #1... Mr Russell won't like that.

NB: I predict that they will have a new Team Principal too.
(Toto & Lewis will leave skipping & holding hands)

Vettel is too slow, he has been since not having a dominant Red Bull.

But we the fans want an 11th team and a 21st and 22nd driver.

Why would Toto leave? He part owns the team. He might step down as TP in a few years if he fancies doing something else.

Has a 6 year old son - maybe to spend more time with the family? Take more of a chairman role once James Vowles has done a stint at Williams?

When you are in your 20's and you can exist on 2 hours sleep, the prospect of this year's calendar might be fun. For anyone else, it's a nightmare.

Yeah I'm not fussed about more races. Plenty that could be dropped tbh.

The one thing that F1 does not need is more races, way too many now

Would be better to go back to around 16 / 18 max

He'd make a huge profit on what he purchased the share of the team for and gain the time to pursue other business ventures in motorsport or elsewhere. I don't think he will go anytime soon but there's some very good reasons why he might choose to.

He's been mentioned a few times, I don't see it at all, he was great in the blown diffuser era, which suited him, but went way off the boil after that, he's also too prone to pressure, making mistakes.

Sainz would be a good fit at Mercedes.

Drugovich is better than Poorchair and Bearman by a considerable margin.
