The designated entry point exists for safety reasons.
Ham knew he'd lose a great amount of time doing almost another full lap with his self-inflicted damage.
Hence cutting into pitlane beyond safety zone, he'd guaged the time penalty was worth the risk.
He ain't squeaky clean so stop pretending
In which case you would cite him dragging his damaged car around for a full lap, leaving carbon in his wake, as a sign of dubious character. Ham knew he'd lose a great amount of time doing almost another full lap with his self-inflicted damage.

You'd make a good inquisition prosecutor, but I'm not sure you'd sway a jury.

BO, what did Lewis do to you?
It’s amazing, you’re a one-person anti-Hamilton internet crusader.
It can’t be healthy.
Indeed, though go onto a couple of different sites (Planet F1, BBC) and BO would be pretty much under the radar, there are some seriously deluded/delinquent/idiotic individuals on those sites. It’s amazing, you’re a one-person anti-Hamilton internet crusader.
It can’t be healthy.

There's no anti anyone.
You're the one filling up unrelated threads frothing about Lewis. I mean I know one quickly runs out of interesting things to say about bottas but take a look at yourself and your ramblings, dragging up decade old dirge. There's no anti anyone.
Mind you, strike me more of the posters capable of holding a reasonable debate seem to prefer spending their efforts endlessly troll feeding these days.
The 1-9-90 has never been more true.

What an odd question and assumption !
If you strip away the British biased media, Ham splits public opinion around 50:50. He's F1's equivalent of Brexit
It's been such for ages

Strip away the biased British media and you would actually see more support, over half is derogatory to Hamilton if you analyse it.

Credit for Valtteri yesterday: win number 10 for him. He did well managing the race and deserved the win. Perhaps now he will be less reluctant to support Lewis when he needs it for the drivers championship.
At the same time, Perez showing that a good 2nd driver can put up a fight against the championship contender.Jake899 said:

Have you seen the footage of the Merc team "clapping" for him on the podium? I've never seen such a forced and unenthusiastic display of congratulations in my life.....https://www.reddit.com/r/formuladank/comments/q590...
I would love to see VB & Alfa be the team to beat next season.
( New specs...never know your luck in a raffle)
Steve Jones & DC asked him an open question... the Finnish are hard to read, it’s just their nature.
At least he admitted that he was gutted at being replaced.
But, he’s got his long term contract that was always wanted.
Nice to see him smile... I like VB.

Bottas has improved since Toto removed his unofficial straightjacket. Let's hope George is not asked to wear it.Monza was also very good from Bottas
