Good for the teams to offer their support. Would be easy for them to stick the knife in.
They wouldn't do it publicly, they would never admit to being the one, they put on the standard "not us" face until the facts are proven in private. Or rather broker a deal to not say anything in return for concessions because it's better for the FIA to say nothing is wrong than admit anything.

Of course it being the FIA, it will be swept under the carpet & NDA's signed. Just like happened with the FIA attempted fix of the 2021 championship in favour of Hamilton that cost Masi his job
You'll have to explain that one. biglaugh
Won’t happen.

It's Toto a bit dirty behind the scenes. I'd imagine there are a few conversations that go on which lead to info or ideas.

Are all the other Team Ps all playing the exact same games, absolutely.

And while it's 100% okay to slap your own brother / sister in the face, they'll all band together against the bigger enemy that is the FIA laugh

But only one of them has a wife working at FOM.

Every statement publicly declaring support for Susie specifically as well, quite the silly season already!
Every statement is absolutely identical. It's clear the teams are united on this one.

I see the original source for the claims has now rewritten their article and admitted on Twitter that the claims don't seem to be based in fact - https://twitter.com/tgruener/status/17324760270524...

I was once told (by a very senior F1 comms director) that the most trustworthy source of news was Joe Saward and the least trustworthy was Business F1.

They are also Pals of Bernie, some might say a mouthpiece

In other words, AMuS got a very stiffly-worded letter from m’learned friends of Mr and Mrs Wolff.

Whenever rumours come up, I always ask is the journalist in question actually at the race and has being going for decades; or is it someone who might try and give the impression of being there, but is actually just following along on Twitter.

From my F1 source (director at a team) Saward is about the most trusted journalist in the pen.

Even F1 think he must be good as he was one of the few granted a pass to every race under covid bubble restrictions.

His style isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he rarely writes for clicks.

And the businessf1 lead never ever got a press pass

Thing is Wolf was in possession of private information and we all know which ex Mercedes employee that works at the FIA gave it to him (subsequently left her job Shaila Rao). Surely this is a non story

What i cant get over is Suzi moaning about the fact she's potentially implicated and branding it misogynistic.

If it was a same sex marriage the rumours would still exist.

Also a bit rich coming from Suzi the uber feminist who back in the day wouldnt say no to posing in her underwear next to a car to get ahead.

Cant stand the pair of them.
It isn't "rumours" it's "rumour"... and it originates from a magazine which has published such views previously.

Well its been doing the rounds a lot longer than that magazine. I remember Wolf talking about teams failing the cost cap before the results were made public by the FIA in spring 2022 and a few eyebrows were raised.
That's nothing to do with this and in fact pre-dates Susie's appointment in her current role.

Read what i wrote originally, the rumours of leaked knowledge from the FIA to Toto were doing the rounds at the time of the 2021 cost cap results as Toto appeared to know a lot about it before it was announced and then magically not long afterwards the ex mercedes employee (Shaila Rao) working at the FIA legal team left her job after only a few months...
All the teams were involved in the cost cap queries, they all knew who was in breach, it was shared amongst them and was part of the transparent process.

The teams were not privy to the penalty decision, but MBS went on record to state Shalia argued for a smaller penalty against Red Bull.

Prior to her time at Mercedes, she worked as legal council to the FIA, her return to the FIA was to assist with the transition from Jean Todt (former Ferrari TP) and to MBS.
