I'd say Rosberg is just cruising and looking after his engine.

I hope I'm wrong, though.

Watching the tennis on TV and the race on my PC without sound. Looks to me like HAMs timing his challange. Has he been on the radio saying he can't be bothered or something? confused
I didn't think he'd go for an on track overtake, but by being within 1.5 sec he's obviously going for it.

So why were nico and lewis both in a car with 6 on it? I thought lewis would have a 44 on his car?
Clearly someone messed up then.
Sure it's not the Petronas logo? That looks a bit like a number 6 and is visible from the camera a over the drivers head I think?
rofl
Yep, looks like it is the petronas logo! D'oh!

According to my wife, LH is pushing NR, hoping he'll make an error.

Merc don't want LH and NR too close together.

I figure if he sets a few hot laps, even if rosberg matches and stays ahead rosberg will hurt his tyres vs. hamilton on fresh

Mercedes have ruined the possibility of a close finish.

what was the point in that?

if they were going to leave him out that long, at least use the SS tyres? else why bothered?

they just lost him some 12 seconds.

Mercedes are run as a marketing team not a racing team.

Very strange strategy from LH / that side of the garage. I think he should have came in a lap after Ros when he had pace and was very close, recent races he's been 3 or 4 seconds back. Had a good first lap when Ros pitted as well and would have been very close.

I think they've ruined any chance of us seeing a proper race for the win.

yes... Whilst I've had utmost respect for their professionalism and where it's got them, there's no 'risk' left for them this year - it's a poor show for the sport that they appear to have got in the way of Hamilton's ambition to race! frown
