I can be repetitive but he is part of a disappearing generation of drivers and soon none of them will be left. Listen to him while you can.
He'd be easier to digest had he not kept patting himself on the back all the time. He's his number one fan for sure (to use Nico Rosberg's signature phrase)Sam993 said:

And whether you like him or not, you have to respect what he has done - and what he may yet do. Because his wife is now suffering from dementia, he is now throwing his efforts into raising money for his dementia charity.
His influence is not finished yet.

My favourite Sir Jackie fact is that he refuses to fly unless he is given seat 1A.In other news he might mention that back when he was racing he did a lot for driver safety....

I was the same as you Sam993. Just could not be bothered listening to him go on and on. Safety this and safety that and basically how he was the one trying to get things changed. Just like a stuck record.
But after looking into his racing past and seeing what he achieved on and off the track, I changed my view point.
He is a dying breed who were racing when many of his friends and rivals died.
The past for me was a boring place which should just remain there, but the more you look at what these guys were doing and risking it only results in total respect.
My eyes were opened and I just want to find out more.

He was World Champion when I was a kid infatuated with motor sport but not able to see much of it. However, Stewart was never my favourite driver. I was a Clark fan first and foremost and when he was sadly killed I switched my allegiance to Graham Hill.Just could not be bothered listening to him go on and on. Stewart does deserve a lot of credit for what he achieved not so much for improvements to safety actually (as drivers continued to die fairly regularly even after he had retired) but for a change of attitude.
Safety was no no longer a taboo subject - which had been the case for decades. His contemporaries still tended to show a disdain for improving safety but the generation of drivers coming along after Stewart were far more conscious of their own necks - and of their worth (the two factors were linked).

I really need to study more about Graham Hill. Was never a Damon fan so kind of ignored his fathers achievements.Stewart does deserve a lot of credit for what he achieved not so much for improvements to safety actually (as drivers continued to die fairly regularly even after he had retired) but for a change of attitude.

After looking into the past "for the last few years" I am starting to realise how wrong I was about him.
I am not sure I realise how good he was in a car.

BTW, I'm somewhat not into these things - what's up with that Ricciardo shoe drinking situation?
It might have to stop - https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/135596/ricciardo...ELUSIVEJIM said:
