Brilliantly chaotic! Wets are the right tyres, at least for this lap.

So what penalty should the bloke who punted Montoya off get?

And five minutes later, the track is drying out! Not stopping turns out to have beeen the right call.

Brilliant racing in the rain. Martins and Fittipaldi side by side from the first corner all the way to Maggotts

That was great fun. I was at the exit of Woodcote and the cars were visibly squirrelly.

It looked brilliant on TV. F2 suffers from always being compared to F1, but it’s a very fast and close series in its own right.

Yep, it’s a great series. I’d love to see the F1 drivers swap with them so we could see them in equal cars.

Yes, it’ll never happen, and has been discussed here many times, but putting the F1 drivers in equal cars would be great to watch. Either F2 cars, or something where rubbin’s racin’ like 911s. It would probably need to be an end-of-season thing though, after the last race, where the teams won’t go mad if someone gets in an accident.

An early start on race day at Silverstone. F3 grid forming up at 08:20. Overcast but dry.

Surely someone not in the points should stop for wets here? Even if it’s only a couple of laps at the end, they could make enough progress on a wet track, with everyone else on the wrong tyres.

So close for Tommy Smith with the tyre gamble, making it from the back up to 11th place in those last two laps.

Yep, that was good.. shame the safety car stayed out for one of those laps. He wouldn’t have been too far off winning it.

Isn’t spinning the wheels on the Jack a penalty?

What happened at that restart? Looks like three of them coming together in a concertina at the last corner.

Did Vesti throw a dummy? Stop on the start finish straight untill they throw the safety car, it nearly worked

This is turning to st , over half the race behind the safety car and then they dish out a penalty on lap 18 for something that happened on lap one, I thought the other car pushed him off.
