C4 have an hour of ‘filler’ and an hour of race. Typically 3 add breaks during the actual race.
I actually enjoy the "filler" and except on the very rare occasion an hour of the race is more than enough time to cover the key incidents. I thought I would miss watching the races live but I don't and the C4 highlights is enough for me. I appreciate I may be in the minority.

Yes I'm happy with the highlights, saves watching the boring bits in some races!

I agree. An hour is enough for the race and having it on an evening means my day is free. I've usually prepared my evening meal by the time the grand prix is on and if my day is running a little late I can watch it on +1 instead. The only downside is having to spend the day dodging the result.

The ending of the quali highlights...

Steve Jones "See you tomorrow, can Charles Leclerc make it 3 wins in a row?"

Christian Horner "Hopefully not!"

Sounds strangely familiar! Full Radio/Mobile lockdown, and friends know not to let me know the results!! wink

Get your box to record the whole series and then skip the adverts if you're watching it later. Also means if you're away for a few days its available when you get back.

I agree. I generally find avoiding the result fairly easy as fans of F1 tend not to give the result without checking you have seen it. On the very odd occasion I find out the result its normally from someone that has zero interest in F1 and just blurts it out randomly!

I agree. I have Sky F1 via a NowTV season pass and on the odd occasion that I catch some of their filler, it's utter pap. Albon's interview yesterday, where they trawled through his Instagram and asked him what app he installed last, was just toe-curling.

I'm with you. I got a sports pass for Now TV for the Ashes and so got back I to watching F1 on Sky for the first time this year having watched the rest of the season on Ch4.

Gosh, the Sky coverage is really quite crap. It seems lazy, facile and is just long for the sake of it, rather than using the time usefully. It feels as if they just go through the motions rather than really care about it. Even Brundle comes across as being bored with the whole thing.

The Ch4 coverage is much better even if you get frustrated with only seeing a small amount of the actual race, but as that appears to be Sky's fault, then you can't blame Ch4 for that.

The way Ben Edwards says ‘Leclerc’ by missing out the end ‘c’ really really annoys me. He really over-exaggerates (the lack of it). Am I alone? I know it might be the right way to say it and as a language-poor Brit I would want to pronounce the ‘c’ at the end of his name, probably incorrectly.

But it still fks me off.

Give a watch if you have time.
ANy feedback greatly appreciated.

Not the best race to speak to! But intriguing in parts, nevertheless, especially considering the vettel comeback story and the ensuing dynamic between the two ferrari drivers

Thank!!!

I thought that was simply the most cringeworthy piece he’d done to camera for a long time.
What on earth did that add to the scene except an over indulgence on his behalf.

I thought it was fun. C4 coverage is very good IMHO, the whole team seem to have a good internal relationship, they gel well.

You should’ve seen Damon Hill murdering the famous Dylan Thomas poem on the Sky coverage

I agree, the C4 coverage is great entertainment, not just showing and commenting on a GP. Quality overcomes quantity anyway. Jones DC and Webber are a class act that the race unfortunately did not live up to.

Ben’s race summary while walking down the pit lane was excellent as an unscripted piece. In comparison, Ted’s notebook would not attract many hits as a YouTube vlog.

If F1TV would use a feed from Whisper it would be worth paying for.
