I liked him saying that Max had to stop again as he’d only run one compound, after he’d started on softs and was 6 laps into his medium stint. Arse.

I’d like to see Martin Brundle and his son Alex commentate.
Or Jenson and Alex ?

I get the feeling Martin is also fed up with Croft as much as we are.

He does seem to have lost his enthusiasm for it

I've noticed he's (Brundle) attending fewer and fewer races - is he winding down his broadcasting career?

I think it is more of a case that Brundle is only contracted for so many races (15 or 18?) and there are 23 this year. So you notice his absence more.

I can't stand Croft and his shouty comical commentary but am sadly coming to the conclusion that he matches well what F1 is all about today. It's Entertainment above a serious sport so a goon who consistently gets facts wrong but appeals to the masses is just what the "sport" is happy with. A sad conclusion!.

Sky should have a button that enables us to have the sound without the commentary

Yeah, seem to remember it was after his heart/health scare a few years back and said he wouldn't do all the new races. Something like that anyway.

That's an excellent idea, actually, and surely would not be too hard to implement. I make frequent use of the 'mute' button, always for the first lap and often for much of the rest of the race. Having the option to just launch Croft out of proceedings altogether would be much appreciated.

Pretty sure that the BBC had this in 2009 on the Red Button, along with a CBBC commentary that was surprisingly good, and miles better than Legard.

I would happily listen to German, Italian, Dutch rather than the wally. Cant be that hard to do, but there is no way SKY would offer this, easily possible obviously on F1 as you could simply choose your language

or just mute the TV and listen to the BBC commentary on the laptop.

I've tried that but there are synchronisation issues.
