Why wouldn't they get rid of Perez he is hardly race winning material.
No doubt he could win in the right car, but he's never been in a race-winning car. He's had multiple podium finishes in cars that didn't get near the podium with other drivers.

He gets on well with Kimi who part owns Alfa and is less rich. Bromance retirement team?

Paul De'Resta just making the comment 'There will always be a place for a 4 time WDC.. even if Racing Point do already have two signed drivers'

Might mean something.. or nothing.
It means PDR is talking crap as usual. Still baffles me how a guy who cant string a coherent sentence together gets a pundit job.

Perez is fast, brings lots of money and has a 3 year contract.

Stroll, well you know the answer to that one.

There is no seat at RP.

Stroll Senior is a canny business man. He would push his son to Le Mans, etc if he could get a 4x WDC...

Perez may well have a 3 year contract but everything has a price and Stroll Snr can afford any price. Stroll Jnr has an F1 seat as long as he wants it and as long as daddy owns the team (when Jnr eventually gets bored, Snr will sell up).

Too many Ferrari links for that to happen.

No chance.

Vettel is also looking very 3rd rate right now, why would anyone want him based on his current driving?

Stroll will use F1 for his Aston Martin promotional work, he is there for the long term unless his businesses fail.

I suspect Vettel could bring more.

True, but why choose between Vettel and Perez’s cash contributions to accommodate Stroll Jr when you can have both?

After all, Lance isn’t exactly Senna is he?

Personally I wouldn't. Joe Saward has been vocal that buying RP was only part of the story with his son; he headed a consortium, it's not all his money and not just buying a seat for his son.

Vettel-Perez would be a very strong lineup.

Unlikely. Carlos Slim (Richest man in the world recently) is backing Perez.

You're right there. Lance has achieved far better results in F1 than Bruno ever managed.

Vettel sabbatical in 2021

Hamilton gets his 8th WDC and suddenly becomes the GOAT (we'll ignore that he will have had the best and most dominant F1 car in history for 8 years in a row) and he will retire to focus on a career in fashion, hanging around with Hollywood weirdos and the like.

Vettel comes back in 2022.

I'm pretty sure the guy that was 1.5 seconds slower yesterday was in exactly the same car, and has been for a while now.

Yes, we will ignore it, because it's bks.

I assume from your obvious ignorance that you weren't born to witness the 1992 and 1988 seasons, for example?
