Yep, there were occasions when both Lewis and Nico went right to the limit, but I don't think either was remotely in the Verstappen league for dodgy tactics.
What's your thoughts on the, Hamilton hits 10 cars in 2022, to Verstappens just 1 car .... which was Hamilton? If we conceded that Verstappen loves a good block-pass type approach, would we also agree that Hamilton's spatial awareness is pretty appalling, and his "he turned in on me" reflex response across the years, has become a little worn out?
I am a fan of Max when he drives well (I was the same with MS), but he has been shown to resort to his, "try and stop me overtake and I will hit you" and "try and overtake me and I will hit you", on too many occasions.
By contrast, Lewis has been acclaimed by many established experts as extremely clean over his entire career (except the wtf 2011 season)...., the latest being Peter Windsor I believe.

And he did have a meltdown, threw his toys out the pram and refused to carry on because in his words
It's a joke, a clown show, i'm not driving round in 15th for 6 hours
And promptly stopped, then insisted he was uninstalling the game and everyone else should do too.
Granted there was a technical hiccup but his rant about how this is the third time it's happened to him and he hasn't won blah blah... yes it is frustrating but by refusing to drive, he could have cost Redline the championship. If he had carried on and moved them further up the field by being a superior driver, they could have got close enough to win but i guess we'll never know
To quote an oft used phrase - "That's racing" even if it is on a computer.
Don’t like MV at all, I think he is one of the most dangerous drivers in the history of the sport because his way of winning is seen by newcomers as the way to do it. I think he’s often a petulant child and he comes across as being violent when he losses his temper. But in this instance I wouldn’t describe it as a meltdown. I’ve seen bigger meltdowns when someone has knocked over a Monoploly board. It's a joke, a clown show, i'm not driving round in 15th for 6 hours
And promptly stopped, then insisted he was uninstalling the game and everyone else should do too.

However, you have your opinion
I'm with you though, i don't like him either but mainly because i think he's an arrogant prick and has become even more so since winning his first F1 title.
They are the definition of a toxic company creating a monopoly for themselves at the expense of a wider community. It angers Max and most others who do sim racing that MSG are scalping sim racers with exclusive deals whilst still failing to fix inherent issues with the software that put it way behind the market leader which can simultaneously run events where there are 10,000 competitors online at the same time as still running normal daily races across 20 other categories on 20 other tracks.

Thing is, you're missing history and the context of his comments. Most people in Sim racing fully support what he's saying since Motorsport Games, who bought rFactor 2, subsequently spent a fortune on exclusive licenses for LeMans and Indycar to take it away from iRacing which the majority of the sim racing community (including Max) had happily and successfully raced virtual LeMans/Indy500 on for near on a decade without issue in an inclusive event for all. They have since run 3 'official LeMans' events and served cease and desists to iRacing, whilst doing absolutely nothing to fix the technical issues that rFactor 2 has when running live events like this.

If that’s the case, then the fault lies with ACO and IMS/Indycar, for licensing their brands with insufficient quality control. They are the definition of a toxic company creating a monopoly for themselves at the expense of a wider community. They may have thought it was a big cheque for doing nothing, but their brands are now damaged in the eyes of the growing online racing community.
Ring any bells anyone?
A market appears from lockdown and some arse decided to get a bunch of investor money together to outbid existing, perfectly decent companies to tempt people like the ACO.
Everyone knows that governing bodies do not give a toss about end product, ALL they EVER give a toss about is money, EWCB, RFU, FIA, FIM, look at how close the football superleague got until, hey guess what fans basically stopped it.
And that is how things like this are stopped, no use bhing about it from here, no teams should register for next years event, the big teams like Redline should ALL pull out of the series and tell MSG why.
This type of stuff has no place within a hobby let alone sport, but as usual governing bodies are far too easily tempted by money.
It is obvious which platform this event and other should be on, I may not like IR personally but it is stable and has run events like for decades, also it is not as choosy, the whole thing would be tiered, so the top guys would be in their race and at the same time you and me, 10 seconds off the pace could be in ours.
Youtubers will comment on it but not be strong as they are influenced by the same people that make these decisions, hence their comments have been very namby pamby. Which is anotehr reason why you as users should just make your own mind up instead of doing what he os she said you sub to on Youtube.

Then as soon as he wins the F1 championship, it's a major issue and everything is a joke.
Don't get me wrong, the organisers should be capable of running the event on a platform that prevents these sort of technical issues, not doing so just indicates that there is some sort of flaw in their operation of this event and if they want to create a World class event, this is definitely NOT doing that and agreed, iRacing was a much better platform.
My point however is still valid, before he was F1 world champion, it was disappointing but we'll try again next year. becomes F1 world champion and everything is a joke, refuses to complete the race and throws a paddy.
Ultimately my point was not about the event and the failings with it, it was that he acted like a spoilt child and whether you want to agree with me or not, that's exactly what he did. However, opinions are personal and if you disagree with mine then that is your right

Exactly this. And I wouldn't be half surprised if the people behind the investment at MSG are totally clueless about sim racing. They've probably been wowed by a few demonstrations because they have absolutely no understanding of sim racing themselves. It's reminiscent of the way I've heard car manufacturer senior management talk about Formula E.....they get told some convincing BS by a marketing type and the next thing you know they're ploughing millions into an FE car as 'it's going to replace Formula 1 and attracks over X million new motorsport fans a year'. Whilst meanwhile in reality the organisers give tickets away to fill stands and other manufacturers drop out after seeing zero interest from the public and viewing figures of F1 go through the roof because of one flex (Drive to Survive).A market appears from lockdown and some arse decided to get a bunch of investor money together to outbid existing, perfectly decent companies to tempt people like the ACO.

Wonder if you might be reaching a bit with that. Could be correlation rather than causation. Then as soon as he wins the F1 championship, it's a major issue and everything is a joke.
First time it happens, meh st happens, move on.
If as I understand this has happened time and time again to him and others over the years then he has quite rightly made a big deal out of it. Just so happens in the mean time he has become a double WDC.
Which helpfully has given him the profile to maybe do something about this.

However, my point is still valid. Refusing to carry on because technical issues - which should not have happened - have dropped you to 15th place, is childish at best and not the sort of thing you would expect from someone of his stature.
But we could be going round and round in circles forever on this point, let's just agree that each others opinion is valid and move on to discussing other things

Rfactor was a ground-breaking title.
RF2 has been contentious from the start in that you had to buy into it and initially there was very little there and a lot of problems, I bought into it initially as it was ISI who did RF, but that quickly died. It was and always has been a troublesome title.
But until players and the people who took the money complain nothing will change, the choice is theirs and your really, ads with most of these things.

I loved rFactor. I played a fair bit alongside Live For Speed back in the mid 2000s, and as you say, it was indeed groundbreaking. The Megane V6 series in particular I remember being immense fun.RF2 has been contentious from the start in that you had to buy into it and initially there was very little there and a lot of problems, I bought into it initially as it was ISI who did RF, but that quickly died. Really drifting off topic now, but Live For Speed was (is) so good to drive. I still think it's the only sim I've ever played where FWD cars are truly enjoyable to drive, because it just feels so right.RacerMike said:

Oh, yeah, Max, errrm, I thought the months of preparation impressive considering that'd put him still competing in the F1 season but practicing Le Mans RF2 in the evenings
