It sounds like something from Hans Zimmer (Inception, Dark Knight Rises, etc) but can't be 100% sure though, sorry!
Yes I agree - it sounds like Hans Zimmer. Definitely not any of the dark knight themes though as I have all three soundtracks and this track does not appear.

Inception is interesting as the piece of music resembles stuff from Inception but I think its still not that. Transformers soundtrack could be another option.

This is going to bug me until I can get the theme for it.

PS: It took me 17 years to find the name of the tune that ITV played in the intro montage for the 1997 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona!

I couldn't decide who was more irritating, him or Perry. She really is an annoying trout.

It's on iPlayer now:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04w4ct8/form...

you have until Saturday to watch it.

Superb review. Better than anything the Official SkySports F1 channel has produced.

Thats why I want the name of the music, so I dont have to hear him babbling on over it.

If anyone out there knows the name of the music then I appeal for you to post your reply in this thread.
Some of the tracks were from the Interstellar soundtrack.

Thanks Catatafish. Yes they are indeed, but the one right at the beginning when EJ is talking is not from Interstellar. It sounds similar to 'Time' from Inception, but it isn't that.
I think I will email BBC now and ask them for their help.

Watched this last night and thought it very good.

Rosberg is still as bland as ever though: "I doth want to say something to re-open old wounds". FFS have at it, man, don't be Mr Vanilla all your career.

Don't any of you have that App that all my colleagues with an i-phone seem to have (me I still got a "Dinosaur" you know, a "non-smart phone" ) where you let it listen to a piece of music & it shows you on the screen what it is . . . hell, you can even attempt to sing it & it identifies it (if it is not "too" far into the revelry beer )

Tried it using shazam (check me out) but EJ's dribble gets in the way.

I dont have a smart enough smart phone to do that dinosaur thing!

I have emailed the BBC's music department, so just waiting for a response. Soon as I know I will post it on here.

I swear EJ makes up the poem as he goes along. It seems awkward when he says at the end "and here we are" "and here THEY are". The last quote sounds as if he said it because it just came into his mind! I do like EJ's general craziness though.

PS: Just to add, I agree with others that it was an excellent program and one worth watching a few times.
PPS: Think the Spa incident still mentally hurts Rosberg, so he avoids talking about it so as not to let old emotions come to the fore again IMHO.

EJ's poems remind me of Guinness TV adverts. But at least Guinness is good for the health.

I saw the programme with my wife, a quite keen F1 follower. She said she could hear Rosberg ticking still. I reckon it could be eating away at him. It is not as if having LH win the WDC helped him settle it in any way.

Mind you, LH is a bit narked about Spa as well as Monaco but he's taken something from the season.

On second viewing, I was struck by Wolff's manner.

I agree, LH can put his grievances aside due to his goal being accomplished. Rosberg is hurting inside, but dealing with it in a mature and responsible manner (thats what I like about him).

I am interested to know what specifically you though of Wolff's manner?

He seemed excited by the season as a whole and the battle between the two drivers.

I didn't have any opinion of him before this season and as it developed I quite took to him.

Me too, sometimes the language differences make it hard to really see the individual concerned but he really came over as a decent bloke who's as open as he seemed throughout the year, he and Niki make a great pairing IMHO, fresh air in the paddock and a total opposite to RD, Toto has an open mind and an open face (which was quite clear in Spa) now if he'd just say "get to the chopper" he would be perfect laugh
I enjoyed the sky version of this program and i really enjoyed the beebs one, more emotive i thought but i cant stand EJ and his opposite veiw for the sake of it stance, Nico as said needs to just say what he thinks FFS, so middle lane it makes me want to scream, then again Lewiss tendency to say what he feels before thinking exasperates me allmost as much sometimes but then i guess we need these straight talkers to counter balence the years of Ronspeak corperate blandness that has gripped the paddock for years.
I never minded redbulls dominance over the last 4 years but i cant say i revelled in it, this year i loved the dominance as it gave us/me a chance to watch 2 great drivers on (mostly) equall terms "sort it out" on track and then as a bonus we had all the great racing back in the pack, we should resurect the moaning threads from the start of the season and poke fun at all the pissandmoaners who fortold a season of woe and cr@p racing all based on the sound and personal bias, i meen properly take the pissoutofthem, you know poking tongues out tongue out, bum showing (and wiggleing) in their general direction and other general taking of thepiss for being soooooo wide of the mark shoot

It was good to see that Austrian circuit back on the calendar, that uphill right hander seems to make for good TV. Thanks Red Bull!

Very good review from the BBC, so much excellent racing shown and the sound bites from Toto and Niki worked well.

But the best bit for me was Danny Ric's engineer on the radio to him after he had won his first race went something like:

'We can see your smile from here' biggrin

Think that was after the podium in Melbourne actually . . .the smile was short lived, unfortunately, but, as the lad said, he bounced back, and . . . 3 wins, what a star !

I think (in all honesty) they should have allocated 2 hrs for this review, they covered the "Mercedes" story very very well, but there was a hell of a lot going on behind them that they had to skimp over. (the usual ) 1hr extended to 1hr10 was welcome , but, really, this year merited even more yes
