That's the best looking F1 car I've seen in yonks - they've got a new fan!

It looks good? It’s white?!

The earlier mock-up posted above looks 1000% better.

Good to see a other car brand entering though.

Rebranding as in they take Ferrari bits and put Alfa Romeo badge on them. Perhaps I should have said "marketing" exercise.
Surely everyone realises that Fiat owns both Ferrari and Alfa Romeo (they have done so for decades), which should surely ensure that Sauber 'almost' gets the best of everything in 2018 and beyod ?

Of course. Take your pick of:
1) White paint is lightest
2) Blank canvas for the sponsors

If they stick with Ericsson, Sauber will finish lower than their potential.

...oh, apparently it's been confirmed.
However they are taking on Leclerc. If you didn't see any F2 races this year you really should look them up on youtube - Leclerc is an outstanding talent and given a half reasonable car I could see him scoring many many points next year.

Leclerc and the Alfa brand could be the most interesting thing to happen to F1 for a while.

Wonder why Ferrari chose Sauber over Haas to be their "2nd team"

Looking forward to seeing LeClerc...

Actually, white paint is one of the heaviest as more pigment is needed to attain satisfactory coverage.
The car is a lovely blank canvas though, looking forward to 2018 season.
Forza Alfa !

The paint job looks good, this is it from the front.

They can't do much worse than this year, so with Ferrari 2018 parts, I'm not sure who is going to be at the back, maybe Toro Rosso Honda and Haas?

Edit: not sure which car that is with the high nose and upright rear wing, it's not the 2017 front or slanted rear wing.

It looks like their 2013 car.

Great news . Good for Sauber. Good for F1.

My concern is that with two of the lower order teams in F1 now having manufacturer investment (Toro Rosso and Sauber), it leaves Haas, Williams and Force India as the only true privateers. It would be good to have more independent teams (a la Manor, HRT , Caterham etc) to provide young driver seats and more competition at the back of the pack. Otherwise, long term, we could see some famous teams bumped to the back of the grid.

Force India have a Merc with Force India aero. Merc sell them a lot of the car. Hence it’s sucess.

Privateer but well supported by Merc.

Wow! just imagine how awesome it'll look with a HALO device fitted!

How many feet does F1 have left to shoot?

To see one of the oldest names in Motor Racing back in F1 can only be a good thing.

Car looks good in both liveries....but neither are 2018 cars with the reg changes.

Chatting to a contact earlier, he has seen some of the mock ups for the halo deigns.

Not as obvious as the ones seen this year, but apparently causing massive structural concerns for the teams.

Well on the road to being Haas-beens...
Haas do/does have a 10 year plan though so should be around for a while yet. Think he's being realistic with it...but still can't see them ever winning a race on merit.
The latest rumour is that Marchione is trying to push Maserati sponsorship onto Haas, presumably to give Ferrari even more political control and another future berth for one of their young drivers.
