That thought had brought a lump to my throat. Frank lost his great friend Piers early in in his motor racing career and I think it was from that moment that he vowed that nothing would ever deter him from his goals.An absolute legend.

Sad to hear and I hope he rests in peace. My Dad actually worked for him in the 70s (when he was based in Reading) and so I have grown up hearing various stories involving him as my Dad talks about that time fondly.

I remember watching the F1 piece where Lewis took Sir Frank around Silverstone a couple of years ago before the F1 & the excitement on Sir Frank's face as they went around mainly sideways, & how special it was for Lewis to be able to do it (& the extra lap they did against the orders they had 
).
The news reminds us of what a great period of F1 we had when the Williams team were at the top of their game. Such sad news to hear.

At the end of the second lap he's grinning like a schoolboy. He looked ten years younger for the experience! Bruised to hell I bet, but genuinely very happy ). The news reminds us of what a great period of F1 we had when the Williams team were at the top of their game. Such sad news to hear.
It's always sad when someone passed but with some people, it's impossible not to reflect on what a wonderful life they have lived at the same time, even inspite of some challenges.
ker Williams` showed them all in the end, I am pretty sure he looked back on this moniker quite smuggly at some later stage in his career.
