How did everyone avoid Maloney?
Didn't look so bad on the overhead shot though.

He was near the back, thankfully.

The most apologetic you’ll ever see a junior driver. He knows he’s getting a penalty tomorrow.

This is brilliant. Top 11 cars all within a second of the car in front.

Close, but no cigar today. Massive favourite tomorrow though, and likely favourite to win F2 this season and graduate to the big boys in 2024.

I’ve tried looking and currently watching on repeat - was there a penalty?

Yes, five places. Goes from 3rd to 8th on the grid for the Feature Race.

No worries. FIA Stewards’ page link for future reference, also has the documents for F3 and F1 as well.

Good start and good pit stop by Bearman and Prema.

Bearman is very much a driver in the Button / Russell mode - not flashy, but smooth and very quick on his day - really hope he has a good year and puts pressure on Ferrari / Sainz - he's easily got the legs of the junior Leclerc.

Should also add the live timing links, for completeness.
F2: https://www.fiaformula2.com/livetiming/index.html
F3: (not today) https://www.fiaformula3.com/livetiming/index.html

Perhaps a mod or the OP could add these and the FIA link to the first post.

This race has the makings of another good one (just as the leaders are fighting hard).

Another good race. I’m liking this group of F2 drivers, and we’ve had four different winners from the first four races. Bring it on in Melbourne in a fortnight’s time.

F2 and F3 are both in Melbourne for the first time this weekend. F3 qualifying session about to go off, with F2 to follow the F1 P2 session at 07:30 UK time.

This is going to be a long session. Marti in the wall after five minutes. He’s top of the time sheets though!

This will be an interesting 4 minutes of track time.
