Gary Anderson Podcast: Why Verstappen’s my title favourite

Spoke to a Red Bull employee last week and the word was, 'Honda have produced a wonderful engine!"
I believe Max Verstappen has a VERY good chance this year, to win the F1 World Championship Title.
I reckon you may well feel the same way after Austria and Hungary, but then there's the rest of the season...https://thejudge13.com/2020/07/01/verstappen-favou...

With the caveat we don't know exactly how much progress RB and Merc have each made..

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict he can just about handle highway driving at 70-80mph, even with his limited experience
He's just posted a picture of him landing in Austria with some of his team, so maybe the road trip is going to be less common than we think.Anyhow, isn't George heading off a little late?! A 1000 mile road trip is quite a thing to be doing 48hrs before free practice.

Maybe George is driving all the way to a chartered plane at the nearest airport..

I’ve just listened to the Gary Anderson podcast. I’m not convinced he as actually thinks Verstappen is favourite. Seems like he’s saying RB could be competitive, and he’d like to see someone else winning, therefore he is backing Max. https://thejudge13.com/2020/07/01/verstappen-favou...

Updated Engine (parts) regs, assume they are working towards a 12 race WDC season at the moment.
There’s a lot of running here on 1/2 PU units...
With the consent of (and at the sole discretion of) the FIA, the numbers above will be increased by one for any driver using a power unit provided by a new power unit manufacturer (as defined in Appendix 9) taking part in their first Championship season.
Should the number of races in the Championship drop to 14 or less, each driver may use no more than 2 engines (ICE), 2 motor generator units-heat (MGU-H), 2 turbochargers (TC), 2 energy stores (ES), 2 control electronics (CE) and 2 motor generator units-kinetic (MGU-K).
Should the number of races in the Championship drop to 11 or less, each driver may use no more than 2 engines (ICE), 2 motor generator units-heat (MGU-H), 2 turbochargers (TC), 1 energy store (ES), 1 control electronics (CE) and 2 motor generator units-kinetic (MGU-K).

Ok, I'll throw my hat in.
After a week of research (not much to go on but a few nuggets) and re-watching every 2019 race I'm going with Max for pole, the win, fastest lap and 2020 champion.
Bold. After a week of research (not much to go on but a few nuggets) and re-watching every 2019 race I'm going with Max for pole, the win, fastest lap and 2020 champion.
As I've said before. I'm looking forward to seeing how Max will cope with being in the hunt for a WDC. Its a very different prospect having to maximise points vurses only being interested in a race win.
Does he have the temperament to deal with the added pressure.

First 3 races, sure. Beyond that... Could happen, I still lean towards Merc though.
