But seriously they will pay Perez tens of millions to go then pay Vettel tens of millions to drive just to score less points and finish lower in the table and earn 10s of millions less. cos that makes sense.

Vettel will have an easier time paired with Stroll than Perez.

Perez has been around a good while now , Lance is (relatively) new , a team mate like Vettel will give Lance something to aim for and hence raise his game.

He can aim for Perez and not be near him...Perez is no slouch.

Been listening to a lot of Beyond the Grid interviews with current and ex racing drivers and Perez seems to be consistently (and surprisingly to me) the name that pops up as being one of the best drivers on the grid.

They aren't in F1 to be ballsy for the sake of proving the size of their balls. Their intent is to win - Vettel would prevent that. Pretty much any driver other than Bottas would risk rocking what is currently a very steady ship.

On current form, your suggestion of “growing a pair” would seem to be an attempt to win the championship with more-or-less only Hamilton’s contribution......

Vettel needs to re-group somewhere. You can’t do that at the front-running team, nor should that team take a risk on you.

Yea could read it that way. Tbh I said what I said in my post about the potential for difficult decisions for his Dad before Lance said anything at all!

So far as I'm concerned, the rumour of Vettel ejecting Lance is just a rumour right now. I can well imagine Vettel going to RP one way or another though.
