No idea of the context of this at all. Max is normally pretty level headed on iRacing despite regularly getting sent by people who want to beat him.
Having gone through several of Pablo's clips now he seems to make a real habit of either crashing into people himself, or putting others in a position to cause a crash (even after he already lost the position himself)...and then absolve himself of all blame.

Given how clean Max tends to race online from what we've seen...I'm going to assume there's quite a bit more at play here than Pablo is showing.

But then that wouldn't sell clips would it...
Yeah, Pablo is one of those guys who's never at fault. I've been in a few GT3 races with him in the past and quite frequently he ends up in the barrier. When you watch it back on the replay it's quite frequently him putting the car in a stupid place.

Given how dirty Max tends to race on track from what we've seen...I'm going to assume his mental attitude requires adjustment, if he can race clean online.

But then that wouldn't "win" him races would it...

I can't ever see it happening but I'd love if Hamilton signed for Red Bull alongside Verstappen, head to head in a Newey car and may the best man win. Personally I think Max would just edge it over the course of the season, but I be it'd be fun finding out, could make Senna/Prost look like 2 puppies play fighting smile

First bit seems a bit of an innocent cockup on the brakes or at worst a slightly clumsy block pass. Not sure he is at fault for the rest of it.
Is it definitely Max driving? It has the driver as Jos Ver on the screen. No idea if Jos does sim racing or if Max races under his dads name for some reason?
Jos sim races as well. Could be him though I don't know.

Don't know what happened before/during this race either, all we see is a very short clip covering the last few corners of a race and after the race ended, a Verstappen rear ends up (and yes the race did end at this point, see the chequered). Not saying it's right.

I've seen Max race on iracing plenty also under the Jos account, even against him and it's always been professional so...why now?
It's definitely Max driving, and no Pablo wasn't involved at all he just watched the replay on stream. For the other poster, the race wasn't over when the incident happened, but was finished when the replay was watched so thats why chequered flag is showing.

The red Urano car is Alexey Nesov who is a real life GT3 driver.

I'd see Hamilton as shading this over a season, even at 38. I think it would to some extent depend on Verstappen's mental state though. I think prime Verstappen has the ability to beat twilight Hamilton, but perhaps not the mentality if he was put under pressure.

The frustrating thing is that this is not going to happen, which is a real shame. It would be a fight for the ages!

I'd be amazed if either driver was up for it. Hamilton possibly more as if Max won then at least Hamilton could say well I am near retirement age but would be a big blow for whoever lost.

This place would be insufferable if Max won.

It’s a lot to do with the car.

Just as it was when RB dominated in the period before Mercedes dominated, because their car was better. I’m absolutely positive it was the case for my team (Williams/another newer car) when they dominated in the Mansell years.

The only difference between their respective dominance over the others, is the way they conduct themselves in the media, when they aren’t dominant. Red Bull are disliked because of their poor conduct.

Highly unlikely to happen

Rus beat Ham in his rookie Mercedes season.

Is Rus equal to Max ?

In a dog of a car. Hamilton did the in-race testing for much of last season.

He's ahead, 87 - 65 points this season.

He also out qualified Russell last season.

That’s an interesting question. Russell did indeed get the better of Hamilton on 2022. Yes, the car was all over the place, yes Hamilton was running odd setups and probably not too focussed on Russell , but nonetheless it was a pretty astonishing achievement. Is Russell a march for Verstappen? In equal cars, perhaps he would be. It’s very difficult to say. It would be fun if they could all do a few F2 races in equal cars so we’d have a better idea.

Reading a bit about a tax enquiry into Verstappen. Someone defending him suggested that logic proves he had no need to. Yeah, logic and HMRC. They go together like motorcycling and ashtrays. Anyone any info?

From what I briefly saw of it on Facebook it is a bit like when people moan that Hamilton doesn’t pay most of his tax in the UK.
Think it was some Dutch celeb that doesn’t like Max, moaning he doesn’t pay tax there when he doest live there so has no reason to.
Not even sure he is actually being investigated.

It's more or less what I thought, but there seemed to be a fair bit about it on various websites. Perhaps all from the same single source.

In any case, it won't Verstappen's fault; it'll be the car's.

Thanks.
