Can someone throw Billy a few quid to buy a different pair of shorts? Are the grey shorts his trademark?
If he wasn't always wearing the shorts everyone would forget why they'd bothered to hire him.

Meh.

They dont have him for his personality, presentation skills or insight.

And the shorts are a deliberate choice.

As someone who popped some money in his fund to help him through his recovery, I'm proud of the lad, he has done remarkably well.

If i was pulling on prosthetics i doubt I'd bother with long trousers unless i wanted to be dressed for a formal occasion, it's not like I'd feel the cold through my titanium legs.

Is anyone else irritated by Alex Jaques' habit of listing everything with a rising inflection? It's usually when not much is going on and it drives me insane, I can't bear it..

Someone mentioned either, earlier on this thread or on another, that the reason leg amputees wear shorts is because long trousers catch on the false limbs. Shorts are worn for practical reasons.

It’s some of the main male presenters that annoy me. If Steve Jones is on making his quips or asking his embarrassing questions then I’ll find something else to do. I don’t know why producers think programs need a tw*t as a front man such as Steve Jones, Vernon Kay or Paddy McGuinness.

Terrific to see Lee McKenzie again, she's knowledgeable, insightful and a great interviewer it's a pity she took a step back but understandable given the sheer number of races being squeezed into the calendar.

Lee is just the consummate professional.
I could listen to her all day.
I just fast forward the rest.

Fortunately no Steve Jones today so we had straight forward reporting and interviews with no embarrassing comments or questions.

As above, Lee is good, very good and an asset to the programme.

Yes, that was a great interview with Riccardio, she got the best out of him by being so empathetic

The programme is one million times better without Steve Jones. It makes it even better that the lovely Lee was on presenting duties.

On the Billy monger shorts, I worked for years with a guy who was a leg amputee who suffered terribly with overheating and would have three fans under his desk blowing cold air at his leg. I'm just wondering if Billy has similar issues and the shorts are for comfort not fashion.

Steve Jones is back this weekend and laughing at his own jokes and funny comments. Lots to say about the Dutch fans, Max and the colour of orange with little chuckles presumably because he thinks the audience has the same sense of humour as he has.

Embarrassing!

I think he’s doing a great job of making the program entertaining, he’s doing a much better job than simon lazenby on sky.

+1 I'd rather watch Steve Jones/DC/Webber/McKenzie etc than Croft/Lazenby/Herbert etc.

Opinions are allowed to be different.

He’s worse in real life. Met him before his f1 job. He was at a pub near to the arsenal stadium. He felt it ok to muscle in on my girlfriend. She smiled and gave him short shrift.
