Just seen a nice bit from Joe Saward. He puts the contract problems into the context of Sauber being forced to change it's plans for 2015 after Jules Bianchi accident.
And the most obvious change of plan being to sign 4 drivers? Or is he just trying to defend the undefendable?DanielSan said:

I surmise(from limited dealings with lawyers, albeit well away from F1 and motorsport) that they knew they would need to compensate GvdG for terminating his contract, but they couldn't/wouldn't agree on the price.
Sutil has, I believe, been almost silent to date on the matter.

Hell, I bought a house last week, and as I signed some documents there is a good chance that I'm now a Sauber driver

I had a driving assessment for a new job today, and one tomorrow. I have a feeling at least one of them may result in driving a Sauber this year aswell. I'll see you at Silverstone Nasr

I used to think Bernie had a rare talent for making F1 look a strange mixture of ruthless and stupid, but Sauber have made him look like a rank amateur.
