I know I know it's the mirror, just thought I'd put it out there
Can't find any other publication stating the same... I think it would he fair punishment; a message to drivers to not act in such a disgraceful way. And then we can all move on.

I can't believe that. It's the Daily Mirror.

What appalling 'journalism'.

biggrin It's worth noting that no penalties will be handed out today. The only decision that will be made today is whether to investigate the incident and the handling of the incident by the Stewards or not.

I think the only way that article could be more likely to be rubbish if it had been published in the Mail. smile

Yet the biggest hoax was against Stern and Sunday Times. It's not only the red tops which get all excited over scoops.

True, but there are only a few papers where an article stating something makes it statistically slightly less likely to be true. hehe

Sebs admitted he was wrong and has got a bit of community service, matter closed. But he is going to apologies publicly apparently.
From David Croft and others on Twitter.

Looks like he took deluxe custard creams into the hearing.

Worst, weakest apology ever to come from Vettel

Only apologising to avoid a points deduction. If he was sincere then he'd have said it by now instead of denying it for the last week.

Piss poor, particularly given that in the days following he showed no remorse and didn't think he was at fault. Surely he reviewed the footage in that time?

Intentionally driving into an opponent in a clear incident of red mist/road rage, no matter what the speed, should be an automatic one race ban if proven (which does seem to be the case here).

Who, Jean Todt? He's an ok FIA president, perhaps a little quiet sometimes.

This was the right decision. The low speed front wheel clash didn't harm or interfere with Hamilton or his car in any way. Vettle has been told off, he's been punished, he's now doing community service too and he's on a Last Chance Saloon behaviour bond. No need for any further sanctions.
Championships shouldn't be decided in a boardroom.

I'm surprised people thought it was going to be any different. It would only have been different if Vettel had been driving for a different team.

He was on last chance saloon already because of Mexico, effectively on probation, low speed or high speed makes no difference, he deliberately pulled along side and rammed another car, it shows the FIA have no balls and clearly still biased towards Ferrari, Jean Todt should not of presided over the hearing and should of left It to his deputy

Poor poor show FIA but I can't say unexpected.

People always joke that it stands for Ferrari international assistance but in this case it is hard to defend.

Imagine the same incident happened in Junior Karting - they would throw the book at them.

What kind of example to the up and coming kids does that set?

They'd certainly disqualify you from the meeting and haul you up in front of the MSA
