The only person who enjoyed that race was the sales manager from Dallara, eyeing up a new yacht in the harbour with the proceeds from all the spare bodywork parts used today.

Car was recovered before the safety car came out, someone could have got out there with a broom

I don't think losing the bit of wing is his biggest issue anymore...

But for sure, you can't pass here without a very high chance of contact - but he was out of the points so 'why not'? It's worth the risk so long as you can afford the repairs.
