Read something today that RB have approached Albon with a view to coming back (unsure whether to RB or AT) and he's declined. Shows the faith he has in Williams.
Or he's holding out for Sainz to leave Ferrari.
Or he's still traumatised from the last time and just doesn't want to go back there.

No reason to go back unless he is in position for #1

No reason to believe that RB would do anything other than design a car around Max, then bin the #2 when they can't keep it within 0.1sec.

Why would he want to join those jokers?

More chance winning a title with Williams!

There isn't a space at Williams unless you are implying Schumacher is going to replace either Albon or Sargent.

Nyck drove for AlphaTauri and Ricciardo has that seat now.
To replace Sargeant.

Nyck DeVries and Toto Wolff chatting over a coffee in Monaco yesterday. And NDV being handed over 'on loan' last year. Nyck will be back in a Mercedes shirt soon.

It just looks like nick telling his sob story while toto is tuned out and checking his messages lol.
Still ,if you are sitting in your local coffee shop in monoco life cant be too bad.
Nice work from toto. Got a driver who’s good and a nice lad - but not George. Not sure what to do with him. Send him to RB, let him fail, get Horner and Marko to do the dirty work for you.

Las Vegas GP. F1 are demanding Vegas hotels overlooking the circuit pay $1500 per person as a licence to see the race. If not they will be blocking views.

https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1032023/1/f1-threate...

Insane prices and cost for the race, I wonder if the Vegas GP will even return in 2024.

I've found crash.net unreadable for a while now - a load of froth supported by no named sources.

Even if it's true (and it sounds vaguely possible) I'd want to read about it from somewhere else as well.

I'm getting a feeling of foreboding about the Las Vegas Grand Prix. I fear that it's going to be a major step along the road of Disneyfication of Formula 1.

Las Vegas: "Hey Folks, let's get this race in! It'll be great for the local economy!"

Local economy: "Yey! I've got some great ideas to get even more people in!"

Las Vegas: "Woah woah woah woah woah! Slow down there, Hank! Who said you can get in on the dough?"

Not sure I see what benefit it’ll bring to F1. Now a race at an updated Riverside would be.

I agree, F1 is getting alarmingly showbizzy very quickly, Miami being another prime example.

Probably due to the American owners. They like showbizz.

Just tune in for the races then, you don’t have to watch Brundle baiting slebs for clout.

If you just watch the race you’ll only have to put up with a few helicopter shots of the strip etc and the beautiful people in the crowds-no different to Monaco l.

I already do that.

But even just watching the races, the bullst is getting worse. More attention is paid to 'celebs' or just 'ordinary' spectators, rather than what's taking place on track. More and more screaming from Croft.

There is nothing Disney about Las Vegas. Seedy and tacky yes, Disney no.

Correct - Disney won't touch Vegas with a barge pole, it's not a brand that would enjoy connection with prostitution, strippers, gambling, drugs, drinking and shooting a sub machine gun for fun.

The only Disney events sometimes held at Vegas are by third party touring companies with he licenses to operate their events/shows nationwide.

Vegas is it's own beast, a guilty pleasure for many people that just want to spend some time in an adult playground, in the company of other adults that don't suffer 'guilt' from not living every day of their lives in the absolute most virtuous way they can think of. It's also a very glamourised place, even if the illusion of glamour is very much skin deep. Perfect for and American audience!

I admit I've been to Vegas twice, I had a lot of fun each time - I don't mind the spectacle of seeing F1 cars scream down the main strip, it's going to be an interesting use of the city. I accept that there is no reason to think it'll make for a good race, it will all be about spectacle.

What time will the Vegas race start at uk time? I was hoping for a Saturday night extravaganza on the cimema screen with plenty of drinks and friends but I’m guessing it might be early Sunday morning is it?
