I agree. Initially I used to chose the Sky commentary for the sake of familiarity but more and more I now leave the F1 feed guys on, they're relaxed in their roles and very informative and insightful. More 'F1' and less TV zaniness and racket. I could live with either but I'm starting to lean away from Sky, and I do find it easier to focus on the race without constant interruptions from Croft having an orgasm over something that hasn't actually happened.
........so much empathy for his wife came to the fore as I finished that sentence... rofl

"And that was the 213th time I've come before my wife, and the 84th time I've done so while she was wearing a pink hair band and pink nail varnish. It was also the 64th time I've come before her while still wearing my socks"

Pretty excited, few livery reveals will get me in the mood. Just a shame it'll be back to a few streams and C4 highlights for me, axing a few subscriptions because paying for literally every individual thing these days is getting stupid.
Last year I paid £18.99pm for Now TV & unless I can get it again it’s Ch4 for me. Does anyone know of some hidden deals?!

Those offers usually come just before the start of the season (and after testing).

I'm going to try the F1TV route this year.

Not seen anything yet from NowTv, I'm waiting on these, I can't be bothered to faff around with VPN's on the firestick to try and get F1TV working, I just want to come in turn the TV on and it works!

Interestingly I set up one of these fire stick blue eagle (all internet channels) for a elderly relative last week (£40 from the pub) in his retirement room, had F1 tv + all the driver channels... crazy..

I'm holding out too - they currently have 6 months for 25 quid with one months free boost but feel thats a weak offer.

Maximum I will pay is £20 a month as watch no other sport, apart from my girlfriend occasionally watching Netball if its on.

F1TV last season employed an American pundit, which for me ruined the Sky F1 alternative soundtrack.
I just found him as annoying as Paul di Resta.

Was he annoying due to being American or not adding anything to the commentary?

I found James Hinchcliffe to be excellent and felt he bought something different to the table with regards his racing perspective.

Also worth acknowledging is Joylon Palmer who has really grown into his commentary role. Really enjoy his commentary.

Don't understand the hate for Will B although his forays into commentating were pretty poor.

I'm US based so quite restricting on our methods of watching. Zero 4k/HDR loveliness options frown

He just has an accent that I can't listen to.
Not all American's are annoying to me though.

£20 is my limit as well. I have VPN but will have to try that route if Now TV doesn’t come up with the goods.

It's £6.99 for F1TV if you already have a VPN. You will also get access to the different commentaries as well as all the previous races. No brainer to be honest

It's shockingly cheap really given the quality, options and historical stuff, not sure how long that will last but I'm enjoying it whilst I can.

Such a shame they renegotiated an exclusive deal with Sky in the UK, I guess them contributing quite a bit towards the world feed helped their case, but it seemed a no brainer to me to go with a much cheaper non-exclusive deal and supplement that with opening up F1 TV Pro to the UK properly.

For me I want to be able to watch in an integrated way on a TV which I can't do with F1TV. I don't want to be faffing with my girlfriend's laptop connecting it up each time I want to watch F1. I want to open an app on the TV and click Play, which NowTv provides across all TVs in our house.

As above its a shame we can't get it in the UK as I would also sign up at £6.99 a month!

For people who have done the NowTV deal in years past.

Do you know how this fits in if you have BT which ties in NowTV packages? with the BT Pro box you can record from NowTV so wondering if the F1 package resurfaces would I be able to record the race in full?

All you need is an Amazon 4K Fire TV stick plugged into your TV HDMI port.
I use Express VPN which is always running in the background on the same device.

No laptop is needed.
