2024 F1 SUPPORT RACES THREAD - F2, F3, ACADEMY *SPOILERS*
Discussion
I absolutely think they need to keep Monaco but they are going to have to tweek the track a bit somewhere to create a good solid overtaking spot.
Maybe at the end of the start finish straight run the corner a bit further on so its more of a hairpin.
In race chat Antonelli did ok 4th from 4th kept it on the track gained another 5 points. 8 or 10 points tomorrow would be a decent haul i think.

They have the opportunity in both races to have a grid restart , both times they chose not try and make it interesting
Yes, they should have used the standing start both in F3 and F2. The rolling start is really supposed to be for bad weather, but the RD today obviously thought that it was more likely to end up with another incident. If you have to have an event at what’s clearly now a totally unsuitable circuit, for historical reasons, then at least take the opportunity to let the drivers overtake.

I say that as someone that would love to see standing starts as opposed to rolling.. But it is what it is.
I also agree that Monaco needs every chance of an overtake possible, again 'ideally'. But that's a race fan - in commercial terms Monaco needs to do nothing other than exist as a relic on the calendar. Which tbf, I don't mind.

Even the commentator, are making comments regarding overtaking
Antonelli has been looking at Colapinto’s gearbox for the last 20 laps, but doesn’t look close to actually being able to make the move. At this point, it’s a pit stop competition. Edit: Antonelli, after his pitstop, and Bearman, was good for half a lap.
