Lewis apparently didn't know he could win the drivers championship in Austin? Is that likely, you think if you were leading the championship, you or someone else might have done the maths.

after NR retired there was no race. Only interesting moment was KR'd drunk driver moment at the end.
Disagree. Its was an interesting strategic race if you take out Lewis. Ferrari vs Williams vs Redbull vs Force India then puti the battles with Torro Rosso, Lotus, even MCL.

One of the better races of the season. J
Edit to add, I sometime fall asleep (Ok, more than Sometimes) but I watched the whole race this time.
I also love the really akward Putin "hello"

Is it just me missing something ?
Where's the media room interviews with the top 3 drivers on sky ?
Pretty sure they used to do it, last few races it's not on.
That's been printed media only for years.
Bloody hell, that means the last few races I mentioned is quite a bit more than that.
I'd like to see it back.

But there wasn't a gap, he didn't get alongside or close to overtaking. It was the kind of move Maldonado might have attempted, not Senna.
If there wasn't a gap then why did Kimi go for the lunge and why did Bottas leave the door open? Going for the gap is one thing and getting alongside is another.

A move akin to Maldonado but not Senna? Why did Senna have a rant at JYS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdCWDSpwv9U

30 sec penalty for Raikkonen. Harsh.

If there was a gap why did Kimi only just manage to get his front wheel level with Bottas' rear? That's not going for a gap, it's a wild lunge.

What did you find exciting apart from the moments he mentioned?

Because the Bottas kept on the racing line and left the door open - is that not an invitation to have a lunge?

A lunge is ok, a crash is not. It seems the Stewards took this view too.

Looks like the stewards disagree with you also.

Alonso won't be happy, 5sec penalty for exceeding track limits drops him to 11th.

30secs penalty for causing a collision, Raikkonen drops him to 8th.

Mercedes win the constructors championship and don't get the chance to put the T-shirts on.

I wholeheartedly agree with the stewards. It was an avoidable collision that instant I saw it but I sympathise because it was the last lap. Going for lunge is one thing whether it ends up as wheel banging or wheel to wheel or a collision is a different matter.

I wonder what Putin makes of Hamilton.
much as we might mock, at least he turns up to his countries race, when was the last time a brit PM turned up at Silverstone?
If I were the PM (just imagine that), I'd be at Silverstone. And Twickenham, and Wimbledon.
