Worst thing about the race for me was the terrible camerawork, they managed to make the cars look so slow and unspectacular.

EJ: "The wheel didn't come of because it was tethered".
Steve Jones: "The wheel isn't tethered if it isn't attached to the rim".

LOL - Jordan owned by Jones!
Isn't a rim part of the wheel though?
His point still stands, even if he used the wrong word. It's the upright that is tethered, not the wheel itself. Most non-technical people wouldn't have a clue either way.
Well yeah but taking the mick out of someone while making a similar kind of mistake doesn't equal owning anyone. Steve Jones likes to be smug, I'll never forget him pissing off Ian Brown when he was doing T4.

Just seen it again on +1. Jordan said "the wheel didn't come off the rim because the wheel is tethered", so he described the component that the wheel is attached to as the rim before Jones did! Anyway, the difference is that Jones is an anchor, not a seasoned motorsport commentator or an ex-F1 driver/team boss/employee. Jordan implied that he believed that the wheel would be retained by a tether if the nut came off, at least Jones knew that this wouldn't be the case. As for Ian Brown ... you'd struggle to find something that wouldn't ps off Ian Brown looking at his persona in that interview. Comes across as someone who's waiting for an excuse to punch someone.

I can usually tolerate EJ but really thought his attitude was poor today

Liberty guys were talking about improving the camerawork next year, hopefully they'll stop those wide sweeping shots that make the cars look as fast as my TF.

Who is that in the red jacket wearing sunglasses at night that look like they're held together by sellotape?
Red jacket & sunglasses at night would usually be Kimi, but obviously can't be him.
Think it was the same guy who had the yellow suit on yesterday?

Don't know who he is though.

Hopefully fixable. I understand the infrastructure and city are like liked, at least by the journalists.., everything “works”

Just got back from the circuit. Glad not much happened in the race because it can be difficult keeping up with things from the grandstand when there is overtaking on unobserved parts of the track. wink

The best circuit to go watch I'm person. The experience is second to none. Recommend everyone to go one day. Unfortunately the track just doesn't work well with the current f1 cars.

And that is the last of the pure open cockpit races.

Will not go down as a classic.

Still think the "halo" is making the sport look terrible.

To be fair most of the circuits now are bl**** terrible.

Everything works except for half the lights on the outside of the hotel; they've lost more and more every year since it was built. It looks st. I guess maintenance isn't a strong point locally.

Given C4 only have the rights for next year I can put up with just 12 more months of him tbh. It’s even better that he only does a few races now rather than all of them.

What would anyone pick as a final race?

I think A.D just isn’t a great finisher. I think the finale should go to one of the historic tracks rather than one of the new ones.

Maybe Spa? Silverstone? Monza?

Or maybe F1 is just a bit boring unless something really unexpected happens in the race weekend like Lewis this year at Brazil.
No chance of Europe for races in November. It’ll need to be a warm weather track.

Singapore might be a good one, but I thInk A-D spend a lot of money to retain it.
