In a nutshell, Rich Energy now has 11 days to find £35M to pay Haas! Slightly disconcerting, considering they have failed to pay ATB Sales/Whyte Bikes the £35,000 owed to them due to copyright infringement.

The tweet also reads as though no one at RE (Storey?) actually understood the content of the letter. Essentially, they’re being sued!
Isn't this the Trump school of operations? Remember the photographs of the inauguration attendance? Never mind the evidence, just state what you want the truth to be!

I'm really liking the earlier theory (sorry, I forget who proposed it) that this whole thing is a Red Bull stunt.

I assume mainstream media have been advised by their own lawyers to steer well clear of this at the moment? Otherwise it seems odd that it's getting hardly any mention at all.

On that basis BanterSteiner has more followers, and Red Bull have over 2m followers so guess they’re behind in more ways than just the track and paying bills

A sponsor spat of a mid field team during a weekend of Wimbledon, the GP and the cricket world cup?

But also the fact that during the whole weekend of a race covered by Sky (and FreePractice sessions do need a bit of 'filler' chat) its never mentioned.

Possibly on the advice of their lawyers, or just the fact that they rarely discuss anything that doesn't involve Mercedes, Ferrari or Red Bull.

To be fair Williams (and Frank) got a bit of coverage this week.

Can't wait for the next installment of Can't pay-we'll take it away when they turn up with a high court writ to recover the £35k debt never mind the £35m, what can they reposes, 90m cans of worthless energy drink that has an illegal logo on it

Arr nice one - I've not caught up on the NoteBook yet - big fan. I just wondered if Sky would'nt touch the story with a barge pole in fear of RE starting on them like a drunk-outside-a-kebabshop

Nah, Eddie was far too busy repeating how he was 110% sure Lewis would be driving for Ferrari in 2021 and how McLaren would definitely have a Merc engine for 2020 & then be challenging for the F1 title in 2021.

Although revealing David Coulthard's new job title - which was clearly not meant to have been revealed to the public yet - appeared to be one "EJ exclusive" too much based on the look on DC's face.

In fairness to Eddie he's hardly ever wrong.
