It's funny how fast people forget Mercedes had the same advantage as RB do now for 7 years.

I don't remember quite as much wailing as I see now.
yes

As usual the LH fanclub on here is as objective as ever rofl

Mercedes dominate the Championship, 'bloody well driven Lewis, he's a bally hero'
Red Bull dominate the Championship 'grr we was robbed, grr Horner, grrr Spice Girls.'
As has been repeatedly pointed out, the two situations are not the same. Hamilton had to deal with Rosberg for three years, and a very (illegally) competitive Ferrari for a further two.

Verstappen has a significant car advantage and a journeyman teammate.

Two options.

1) Reduce the minimum lap time limit so that no one is going slow.
2) Don't race on this fast blind cornered Micky Mouse circuit.
Totally agree, I said the same last year and don’t see the improvements making much difference at all it has the potential risk of a massive unavoidable crash just not up to F1 circuit standards for running a safe race weekend.
Thirded - horrible circuit, but F1 seems determined to make itself more like Formula E, while the new FE cars would be more suited to "proper" circuits than ever before.

Vegas will probably be equally as st as this and Miami.

and a favourable F1 management wink

Plus I seem to remember years of claims it was boring with Mercedes winning all the time.

Yep, there were the Bottas years, but two of those were where Lewis was fighting the illegal Ferrari. So it's not like he didn't have to work for those titles.

What we have with Red Bull now is like the Schumacher dominant years. IE we all know the result, almost certainly, before the weekend starts.

There was plenty of wailing against Mercedes and the Mercedes engine at the start of the era, same is levelled at Redbull now as we are into new regs. (Well, a year into)

Redbull annoy me a lot, but I still respect the engineering.

...and the staff cafe is something else! hehe

I also still don't like Alonso, but enjoy seeing him do his thing!

.
The Ferrari was illegal for a grand total of 3 races. Spa, Monza and Singapore, they didn’t have the dodgy engine before, they brought it after the summer brake, by the time they reached COTA the engine was back to normal.

Great interview between Rachel Brookes and Toto Wolff. He doesn’t do many long-form interviews.

Is anyone else experiencing the two halves of the screen being occasionally out of of sync?

Defo their issue as the adverts are fine. The audio is in sync today though which is a bonus!

Sky Q in UHD

It's close after MV.

The best of the rest battle might well be resolved by tyre wear, although much more likely to be the luck of the draw when the pace car is called out. Let's hope the PC doesn't decide the podium.

When I first read that Bernie was on the Sky team, I was shocked. But relief aside, she's great. Some excellent insight.

And no fashion show.
Well said Derek and well observed.

Bernie is excellent. Her and Karun are making today's coverage more watchable than it has been for a very long time.

As usual, those who resent LH are objective as ever.

Could the comments on Horner and Ginger be something to do with the behaviour of Wolff and his Mrs?

It was competitive for a lot more though.

Do you think what we have now is similar to the dominant Schumacher-Ferrari situation, or do you disagree with that?

Gap P1 to P3 is the same as P3 to P18..
Subject to official confirmation, it promises to be a close and exciting race.

I'm finding her accent hard to understand though. She seems to mumble into the mic. Hopefully she can work on it.
