biggrin

Tbh, I'm not sure I'll watch any of the F1. Not sure I can stomach Jones or the two extremely biased Red Bull employees.

God he'll be insufferable at the start of this season with the Hamilton to Ferrari news.

I gave up watching after a certain event a couple of years ago. Crofty factored into this decision as well.

But the prospect of Hamilton’s last season in a Mercedes might tempt me back, and it will be a VPN and F1 TV if I do.

53-year-old Croft told The Independent: “It’s more about keeping fresh for the whole season. I’m not getting any younger." - really?!? Murray Walker was 57 when he started full time F1! Jeez, kids these days...

(TBC, I'm not complaining about the welcome break...)

He should be forced to watch/listen to his last DECADE of inane, infantile shoutementary.

That might help him see the issue we have.

As has been posted "Good News" although it's only for three races, but Rome wasn't built in a day I suppose.

The die is set, this new lad will be just as annoyingly shouty and full of crap.

Harry Benjamin did F1 for R5Live last year and was perfectly acceptable in that role. As usual it will be the transition to Sky TV that messes him up and will make him unbearable to listen to.

All I can suggest is that somehow everyone watched the races on SKY for those weekends,to shove home the point! Even I might be tempted if it gets rid of the shouty infantile moron.

No chance, he'll just commission new neon soundbites for his kitchen wall.

I've just cancelled my Sky subscription today after 23 years of a being a customer. I tried to just downgrade Sky F1 and keep Sky Sports but it doesn't seem possible to do this so considering it along with the recent price increase, decided to give it all up.
The F1 coverage, while great at first has become very stale now just like the racing and Crofty desperately needs to be replaced in order to bring in a whole new fresh approach as he's had his day.
I won't miss him at all as last season was one of the most boring to watch and I very rarely sat through a whole GP live on the Sunday unlike in years gone by where I would see all the practice sessions, qualifying, build up, race and then the after show.
Shocked to see that it was costing me over £700 a year so feel very liberated to be finally free of him with a few extra quid in my pocket and it will be C5 highlights from now on.
So its lights out and away I go........

“But I also want to sit and watch a race at home. I want to enjoy it. Maybe I can learn something by not commentating on a race. I can spot a few things when I’m watching – I want to see what the viewer sees.”

Seeing what the viewer sees (IE what actually happened!!) Would be a great start smile

I really liked this bit

“I’ve given up and sacrificed a lot for my career. I want to give a bit of time back to my family and not be on the other side of the world. I’m getting married this year as well, so I’ve got a wedding to organise!

We have given up a lot listening to his blathering. But you have to pity his future wife, she will have 3-whole extra weekends of his mindless stuff
Church Vs registry office
My aunty Jess Vs your step-uncle Jim
Extra tier on cake Vs low cal option
?????.? Vs your friends
Polypin of beer Vs Champagne
Bernie Vs Ginger
