Be interesting to see what happens if he ends up at Ferrari. He rocked up at Red Bull and started embarrassing Vettel. Wonder if the same could happen again or if Ferrari politics would get in the way.

Just think about the back of the grid. Verstappen, Grosjean and Magnussen.
That would be like a dream line up for the back of the grid.

Webber just said Verstappen has hit something or spun every weekend this year. Off the top of my head that is probably true.
It's true.

Drama queen.

Don't forget, 19 year old Verstappen beat 28 year old Ricc last season.

Position / Points
5 Daniel Ricciardo 200
6 Max Verstappen 168
Don't forget they drive a Renault (DNF's) and qualy....
2 each, you are talking nonsense.

If you held a gun at Horner's head he would still blame the track.

“The 107% rule is a sporting regulation affecting Formula One racing qualifying sessions. During the first phase of qualifying, any driver who fails to set a lap within 107 percent of the fastest time in the first qualifying session will not be allowed to start the race without permission from the race stewards.”
I wonder who has to go and ask the stewards if Max can race on Sunday smile

I don't, your still leaving out qualy's, Ricc's strenght usually.

In the DNF's Ricc had, Max gained less points than Max did when Ricc. DNF'd.

Max was the better driver last season, that for sure.

It''s pretty clear who's the better driver this season.

They might not be the same people.

We've seen Max do things in an F1 car, most F1 drivers never do in their entire career.

It's fine line between stupidity (crashing in the final minutes of P3) and being smart (just brake up the lap when you're distracted by in this case Sainz).

Ricciardo looks like he just came away from the bar.

Notice Red Bull hardly said anything when Ricciardo got pole.

Is Ferrari possible? Vettel probably wouldn't welcome him after his time at RB, but Ferrari might be unforgiving of Sebs failures last year. Sebastian seems to still get on OK with his old team, but has had lots of problems with Max, so I can't see a straight swap being an option.

McLaren would be a step back and Mercedes might be happy enough with their 1-2 drivers after the headache they had with Ham and Ros.

Ham's dominance these past 4 years is equally embarrassing.
It is not even remotely ‘embarrassing’.

Not sure if you are new to the sport, but this is how Formula One works. It was the same for Mansell, Prost, Schumacher, Clark, Hakkinen, Andretti, etc etc. It’s very rare a driver’s title is won with a car that does not also win the constructor’s prize, although it did happen in 2008, when the world champion drove the car that came second in the contractor’s championship.

Want to take a guess as to which driver that was?

I'm predicting Vettel will go to McLaren to replace Alonso, Norris will replace Vandoorne, Ricciardo will go to Ferrari with Raikkonen. Alonso to Indycar & WEC.

Apart from Vettel’s contract with Ferrari runs until end of 2020.

McLaren in 7th, progress.
They were 9th and 10th last year so it’s progress of sorts.

I know Haas weren’t expecting a lot from this weekend, but to be as far down as they are is pretty bad. Mind you sacrificing Monaco to have a car that works better everywhere else isn’t a bad thing

Was it becuase some German driver gifted Ham his place ? could've been Massa just as well.

And besides, you left out a lot of my post.

The god gifted F1 driver many make of Ham (including Ham himself) isn't reality.

Because the No.1 reason Ham won 4 times in a row is due to that three pointed star (the change in engine regulations which Merc. by far engineered the best).

Ham has a fine career, and all his career moves worked for him.

'Some German driver gifted Ham his place"

WTAF are you talking about?

Aside from that.....were all of the other drivers who won their titles with a car advantage, (IE, all of them) not worthy of those championships?

And what about Hamilton’s pre-F1 career? For example, he won 16/20 races in 2005 in F3 Euroseries, in equal cars.

How do you explain that?
