He really isn’t the best driver outside of Formula 1.
True, in his second year in F2, so far he hasn't even matched the results of a rookie like Pourchaire who has just turned 18.SmoothCriminal said:
Let's hope that's the closest he gets to F1. I was particularly irritated by Rosanna Tennant, commentating on Sky for the F2 support race at Silverstone, who kept referring to Ticktum as "home hero Dan Ticktum", proving again that commentators know absolutely fk all about their subject matter.Dermot O'Logical said:

Clearly employed as a token female in F1. Did someone seriously look at the long line of ex F1 drivers they could have employed instead and thought "No, the best person for the job with the best knowledge is Rosanna Tennant"Joey Deacon said:

Just seen he's signed for NIO in FE... I wonder how long that will last ?
Formula E just seems to be the graveyard for those drivers who never quite made it to Formula 1, or scraped into a hopeless F1 team and were chewed up and spat out.Edited by anonymous-user on Friday 26th November 11:33
Not exactly the first time ticktum has issued a reflective statement about his behaviour.
It's good he's capable of being humble.. but it does keep happening still!
He's genuinely not a bad racer, in fact, on his day he's been impressive. But he's a hell of a guy to take a gamble on these days - drivers now are under a media/social spotlight and he doesn't exactly tick the right boxes.

You're reading humble in there? I'm didn't get any of that, just how unfortunate he's been with his timing & luck. Humble to me would be admitting he was a dangerous hot headed 4r5e, but he's learned from that. It's good he's capable of being humble.. but it does keep happening still!
