How was the F2 feature race this morning?
Interesting, though not especially dramatic. About a 6 or 7/10.

The F3 race was better.

See the precedent F1/ FIA stewards have set?

Lawson whining that he was "pushed off" - baby!

Armstrong was ahead into the corner and Lawson had lost the corner - absolutely nothing wrong with that.

This does not bode well for many racing laps....

At least Ticktum had the common sense to listen to his team.

Shocked
He does seem to be trying harder than most to overtake.

These left / right corner combos are making it so hard to get down the inside then keep position.

Ticktum finally manages it without leaving the track.

I'm withdrawing my earlier concerns about overtaking / close racing - this is turning into something really quite good!

Well, the F2 cars had zero issues following closely, I wonder if the F1 cars will be able to get nearly so close?

Daruvala's penalty puts him on pole.

Daruvala picked up a post-race penalty for gaining a lasting advantage on a late-race move on Ticktum and gets a five second race time penalty. It just happens to mean he's now on pole as re-classified tenth from first race.

Is it me or is there something not quite right about that?

Well, this is stupidly embarrassing for the organisers - potentially the most exciting (though maybe not the most intense) race of the day delayed and possibly to be cancelled in order to maintain GP pre-race "stuff".

Carlin have just tweeted that they're heading to the grid shortly, so not too much longer, hopefully.

F2 race scheduled for 60 minutes plus one lap.

F1 driver parade starts in 65 minutes’ time.
Somewhat ironic that an organisation devoted to racing would curtail actual racing to make way for a driver parade for a mostly empty-of-spectators race track - it's not exactly jammed like Silverstone or Spa is it?
