F1 last race to be worth double points
Discussion
F1 has sunk to a whole new low, f1 is dead to me used to watch it every race meeting even during the schumy years but this along with fuel saving st/ comedy tyres that fall apart within 5 laps/ drivers having to complete a lap within a delta time if I was a driver in f1 I would walk away.
How the hell is this the pinnacle of motorsport more of the Bernie show we may as well have sprinklers on track set to go off at random times, if you go of track you have no power for 5 seconds, have a 10s lead get a drive through penalty etc etc.

MG Chris, I totally agree with everything you have said. I have watched F1 through all its changes all my life, I'm over 60 now. But I probably won't watch it much in future. I am hooked on the Australian V8 Supercars, and MotoGP, both much more exciting than any F1 race, and the drivers get paid a lot less. A sad testimony to a once great sport. Jesus wept... No wonder VAG put their motorsport millions everywhere but F1. As others have said, after a dire 2013 I thought 2014 would be a breath of fresh air, changing the order. I was looking forwards to seeing how Williams would do with their new appointments and lineup, how McLaren would respond to this season, Kimi in Ferrari etc but fk it WEC is so much more entertaining... Since I first watched LeMans in 2011 I was hooked, that'll be my motorsport entertainment next year, Mark and Porsche made the right call.
Well there's a reason why I haven't been to an F1 race since 2005 yet I've been going to Le Mans every year since 2003. Guess what? I wont be going to see F1 next year either!FiremanRob said:

Presumably the idea is to give more drivers a chance of winning the championship during the final races of the season but this is a very poor solution to a problem which doesn't affect the racing, just the money. I'm realistic enough to recognise the importance of the money but making a farce of the championship to chase the money seems very short sighted to me. Why the last race? It could be the first to give someone an early lead others have to chase - ultimately it makes no difference overall.
If it is to have double points it needs to be a double race, maybe a reverse grid for the second race of the day - people would watch that and it might give a chance to more drivers. However, I would rather see good racing with equal points all the way through the season as we have always had.
