Unlikely, but they do remember themin a positive light, and that's 99% of it, isn't it - appearing interested when you aren't, being courteous when you really don't feel like it, treating each repetition of the same effing question as if it was the first time you've answered it.

Because:
a. It's simple common courtesy
b. It's your job - or at least a very significant part of it in modern F1
c. As a 34 year old it's not very big or clever to behave like a sulky teen
Are you suggesting that people don't remember Kimi because of his attitude? That's clearly not the case, he's famous for it.

His character, however you view it (from maverick free spirit to spoilt bastid) brings a little colour to an increasingly monochrome sport and world. It's refreshing to hear something other than the standard sycophantic employee praising his employer. My only concern is that he's going to become a caricature of himself, trying too hard and losing spontaneity, I think there was some evidence of that last season.
Edited my embedded quote to perhaps better represent what I was trying to say. One can be informative and courteous, and leave a good impression without being a drone. Mark Webber springs to mind.

Fans get little or nothing from Kimi, who's often too busy being Kimi, to coin a phrase. No idea how he behaves with Sponsors etc - but it's good that other drivers do hold their ends up, clearly.
Part of it is probably his background - you don't need to speak all the time if it's not required in Skandinavian countries, rather than saying a lot of nonsense to fill in the gaps. I personally like him as he gives a bit of variety. I suspect he'd be a fun person to be around, if you're fine not having to have inane chatter for ages.

You say it's good the other drivers do hold their end up, but the reality is you can write the reply to all the questions they get before they even start replying. Therefore it's all a bit pointless.

To be fair Clarkson got a decent interview from him. He's just sick of the same old crap questions. Who wouldn't be after all those years.

I'd ask him about David Robertson

Kimi, this interview stuff sucks as it always has done since F1 was invented. Want to leave here and go and get a pint?

Funny stories of the 2 of them in the early days. The F3 team. etc etc

I think it would just engage with Kimi more than something generic about F1 or about his party lifestyle (which apparently he's toned down since his current beau and him got serious)
