Does Lewis need glasses or is it a fashion thing?

I'd notice Hamilton wearing specs a lot. I wonder if maybe his eyesight really has deteriorated a little?

Lewis Hamilton's got five-place gearbox penalty, don't think he's having the best start to the season.. laugh
I don't get this, why is a driver's misfortune funny ?

A plus from penalty this is we should see some overtaking.

Yes - Sky covered it.

Apparently Hamilton says he has 30 - 30 vision or some other toss (better than 20 - 20 anyway) nerd

This track is not that really hard for overtaking. I would bet Hamilton will be up in P3 by Lap 5. I'll keep an eye out for that Merc's pace as surely he's going to be optimised for overtaking.

That W07 will be turned up to 11.

Seeing as Merc said they wont be able to fix the clutch issue by this race I expect Hamilton to have another poor start. Assuming he gets pole and starts from 5th he will no doubt drop to mid-pack and likely be taken out by someone outbraking themselves. He needs it to rain on Sunday I reckon but I think he will retire from the race.
Would be nice to see a Ferrari win.

Anyway to watch this without Sky, legitimately?

I thought there was a PPV type thing?

Well he's got a new gearbox (hence the grid penalty). I'd assumed that was to attempt to fix the clutch?

Apparently it was damaged, so it's doubly problematic for him as presumably there is a risk he will need another change to accommodate whatever his starting problem is.

I am surprised merc haven't updated the transmission (or is that one of these stupid engine token things). I heard that Ferrari have a different clutch system that makes it easier for the driver to launch the car. Of course this could all be speculation.

NowTV. Basically you buy Sky coverage for £6.99 for a day. It streams over the internet so you'll need a good connection and you have to buy a NowTV box first to access it.

You can get it via a games console without the box as well.

Are you the UK? Just be aware of the timings if you do pay for a NowTV pass:

Race Sun 0530

I thought it was £6.99 per day and hence to get Qualifying and the Race you'd need to time it nicely ...
