If ever there was an example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it"!

Don't know why, but the new logo puts me in mind of:

I think the new F1 logo looks like a T junction.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw it was the McLaren F1 logo

I could see the 1 in the old logo, no problem.

The new one looks like they are about to turn sharp right and hit the wall.

Perhaps a forewarning of what will happen when SKY takeover all TV coverage in 2019?

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Bernie still owned the image rights to the old Logo & it's usage, hence the change

Agree with others, that the new logo looks a bit amateurish, like they held a design competition in the office wink

Also ...since when has an F1 track had 2 lanes & require a centre line?

Only in the uk, a fraction of the global audience?

Worth a read on the creative process to those that imply it is the work of a moment:

Nice logo - shame about the product.

Germany (the biggest F1 TV audience) doesn’t currently have a future free to air deal in place either. UK + Germany is not to be sniffed at in terms of a percentage of the global potential F1 audience.

That aside, given that most of the team personnel and staff involved in F1 are from the UK I’m sure the teams would like plenty of interest in the country to attract plenty of future engineering talent etc.

Ah, that would explain it.

Wasn't there a centre line in Monza? There have been a number of races where the cars have gone up one side of a dual carriageway and, after a hairpin, bone back up the other.

Still, under current regulations there could be a line in the middle of the road, the one that marks the edge of the circuit.

The new logo looks incredibly st and amateurish.

Perfect for modern F1!

That crossed my mind as well. There were two songs that had similar titles in my mind -

Nice Video, Shame About the Song

and

Nice Legs, Shame About the Face.

Isn’t the center line of the logo not the center line of a road, but the white line around the circuit and the rest of the red beyond that is where the drivers actually use?
