Will Max crash into Lewis on the last race just to win?

It has happened before numerous times obviously, but with far less coverage from FOM and far less data available, so if it happened again I would imagine Max would be very heavily penalised perhaps even have point deduced to make Lewis champion.
The application of rules seems to be more important to FOM than anything else right now and if Max went too far I would hope he doesnt, but if so the penalties would be very draconian even for 2022.

Key word being "tried". When he failed in 1997 and JV won the title it was an easy decision to wipe all MS's points.
In 1994 however, it worked out perfectly for him.
It did but I think 97 was a clear decision to show that this type of thing would be longer be tolerated in the sport. In 1994 however, it worked out perfectly for him.

And TBH, I'm ok with that. Honda have clearly been doing a fantastic job this year against all odds and against their recent track record. And Lewis rubs me up the wrong way.

Indeed. Something well dodgy will happen clearly. They'll be a bit of a rules fudge. And Max will officially be champion.

So because you don't like Lewis, and RB/Honda have been working hard, you're happy the title is decided by cheating? And TBH, I'm ok with that. Honda have clearly been doing a fantastic job this year against all odds and against their recent track record. And Lewis rubs me up the wrong way.

You're mistaking it for an actual competitive sport, when most years there are only two drivers who could ever actually win the championship.

Yep... so Verstappen takes Hamilton out, quite obviously because he's not subtle about any of this, then he'll get disqualified from the championship. Just like Schumacher in 1997 against Villeneuve. A precedent has already been set for this behaviour.
I say YES, definately just as Schumacker did. Lets not forget either that Lewis is racing against not only MV33 for the championship, but the FIA aswell it seems. Zetec-S said:

Which would still make it competitive. You're mistaking it for an actual competitive sport, when most years there are only two drivers who could ever actually win the championship.

Answers below... yes or no.... I'm a YES.
Assuming nothing bad happens in Saudi, and Lewis comes 1st, Max second and it spills over to the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi .... I'm counting on Max to run his right rear into Lewis left front and as long as Lewis is a DNF, penalties galore won't stop him winning.
Wish PH did polls.
Anyhoo....

As others have said he simply will not be able to stop himself at that critical moment.

13 different drivers with podium finishes - over half the field.
An 8 point and 5 point difference at the top of the WDC and WCC respectively, after 20 races in 8 months
And you think it's not competitive?

And you think it's not competitive?
Last year LH won with 50% more points than anyone else. The year before 30% more.
And even if there are two competitive drivers, believe it or not the third spot on the podium has to be filled, however many laps behind they are. You think Alonso keeps his 3rd place trophies?

It’s no different to premiership football. Last year LH won with 50% more points than anyone else. The year before 30% more.

Since 1992 7 teams have won the premiership.
Since 1992 8 teams have won the constructors title.
Yet no one cries how st the premiership is quite the opposite.

As well, he commends Honda for doing a good job, but Mercedes have been other worldly... for how long?
So really it's because he's triggered by a sportsman he'll never meet or know, who by all accounts is the fairer / better driver.
Funny old world!

Yes,
after all, Hamilton did it to him at Silverstone.
I'm sure he will given the chance. after all, Hamilton did it to him at Silverstone.
But you must have watched a different race at Silverstone to the one I saw where Max turned in on Lewis despite being left some room!
Max didn't even manage to stay on track in Brazil when he was running Lewis off the track.
Not sure Max "turned in" on Lewis at Copse. My view is he held a tight line and Lewis understeered into Max. Max should have been more circumspect and given racing room, as Lewis should have reeled it in more and avoided the contact.
The contact came from Lewis IMHO (predominantly to blame), but Max should have been over in the favelas as Lewis was in Brazil (partially to blame).
