Missed that and will catch up later, but looks like yet another shambles from the FIA.
It doesn't look good - seems the teams had been told to go through the pits, then that the pitlane was closed, but no instruction to cancel the use of the pitlane.

Prema say they confirmed the use of the pitlane twice, yet got penalised.

The FIA is never wrong is it?

The explanation from the FIA in that link doesn’t fit the sequence of events that unfolded, according to what Hauger’s race engineer said to Hauger in real time. They very clearly sought to clarify with race control after the pitlane closed message was issued, yet the FIA says this didn’t happen. If that happened in F1 towards the end of a season, can you imagine the storm of st!?

F2 boys acting very civilised, two thirds distance and no contact as far as I’ve seen and no safety car.

A surprisingly civilised race, only a single yellow flag on the track, for a limping car, one messed up pitstop where the driver was sensible and stopped.

Oh, and a late spin from Vesti, which would have been a VSC were it not on the last lap.

Well done to Drugovich for the win, and Hauger making up for yesterday’s disappointment with good use of the alternative strategy.

That was Roy Nissany’s race to lose - and then he loses it.

Possibly yes, and more rain to come this afternoon. F1 boys will be paying attention to that corner.

Ooh, bonus televised support race - Porsche Supercup about to start, and it’s raining again in Italy.

Edit: now properly pissing down. Will start behind the SC after a delay for tyre changes.

What’s the point in this, they are only doing it to keep the TV schedules

I was thinking he was having the race of his life. Clearly that was yesterday.

Well that wasn’t in the script, for two of the first three on the grid.

That was a comedy crash, pull the clutch in FFS.
Matched only by the comedy JCB doing the recovery.

Pretty sure that's game set and match under SC then.

Glad to see Abbie back in the car this season.

I hope the camera work is better for F1, that was frustrating to follow.

Why take it away from someone decent?
Because....

I have no logic behind the desire - you're right. But she's doing great at the level she is at, just a shame there is nowhere to progress to which isn't far fiercer. The story of FW I guess..

Well done Jamie - one can only beat the others in the same race, and she did that.
