but last year's race was the worst F1 race I ever remember.
Spa 2021?(We wouldn’t care so much, if they’d abandoned it or tried again on Monday).

Absolute nonsense and a big blight on the sport. There was more racing action in Indy 2005 than the spa cluster fk.

If the chicane after the tunnel was removed would it make overtakes better?
It would mean higher speed into Tabac which is not much of an overtaking spotLooking at danny rics win in 2018 when he had engine problems and vettel could not get past him any other track vettel would have won and i assume without the chicane he would have overtook
Year after year it comes down to either driver error or pit stop strategy to change the leader

It's not a straight line from the tunnel exit onto the quayside, there would still be a left/right kink.
Yep, as it used to be before they put the chicane in. Strictly single file through there. I would quite to see them approach Tabac at 190mph though, if only to watch the carnage caused by a locked brake with no way out.

Or just scrap the track and go to portugal...
I suspect Charles will take Pole but Max will win as Charles will bin it... Sainz will be third. Perez 2nd.
Hope I am wrong but there is no chance of overtaking with the size of these cars now is there?? Although saying that if they can follow a lot more closely there is a chance out of the tunnel.....

No chance of a clean overtake during the race imho so it’s all about pole position and strategy, I think qualifying will be interesting, this is predominantly low speed circuit with no fast corners so I don’t really know who it will favour. Neither Red Bull nor Ferrari can truly exploit their speed advantage so that brings a few other teams into it. There WILL be an accident in Q1 and Q2 so that could screw a few front runners up if they haven’t already set a lap. My guess is they will all be out early to set a time and secure a spot on Q2/3 respectively. I wouldn’t bet against an accident in the race either…Hope I am wrong but there is no chance of overtaking with the size of these cars now is there?? I assume a 1 stop is possible and probably the ideal strategy, start on the softs and then run medium to the end?
George to win, then Chuck followed by Max
My race prediction is that if Max isn't first into the first corner, then he will at some point rediscover the old Max red-mist and throw it up the inside coming out of the tunnel. It will probably cause a collision and maybe the end of the race. But it will not, of course, be his fault.
The Ferrari will be the best car. Leclerc to finally get the Monaco monkey off his back with an uncontested win from pole.
Mercedes will qualify no higher than fifth, maybe with one out in Q2, and they'll generally have a stinker.
Apparently we are to expect strong qualifying performances from Alfa Romeo and Haas as their cars were working very well in Barcelona sector 3.
Can Red Bull activate the tyres in qualifying?
Could have a very interesting grid indeed... The race, of course, less so! But maybe- who knows?
